Best Manufacturing and Packaging Automation Companies in 2026

February 27, 2026 by David Edwards

When you look at the factory floors of 2026, you can see that the conversation around industrial technology has moved past the simple question of whether to automate. Today, the real challenge you face is how to integrate intelligence into those systems without making your life more difficult.

You probably already know that the labor market is not getting any easier to navigate, and the demand for higher precision in specialized sectors like food and beverage is only going up. In this landscape, the best manufacturing automation companies are those that prioritize reliability and ease of use over complex, fragile setups.

You need systems that feel like a natural extension of your team rather than a high-maintenance guest in your facility. Whether you are scaling a boutique production line or managing a massive industrial plant, the shift toward software-defined automation means your hardware needs to be as adaptable as the code running it. RoboDK launches CAM solution designed to reduce robotic machining deployment times

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

RoboDK, a provider of robot simulation and offline programming software, has launched RoboDK CAM, describing it as “a comprehensive software solution that significantly reduces deployment times for automated machining cells”.

Unlike complex traditional approaches which require specialists to manually program each robot and end-effector using vendor-specific languages, RoboDK CAM automatically generates robot code from CAD designs and digital simulations, reducing the complexity and cost of machining automation deployments.

This allows manufacturers and integrators to move directly from design to production without having to be experts in robot programming. [Read more…] about RoboDK launches CAM solution designed to reduce robotic machining deployment times

State of Louisiana partners with Persona AI on humanoid robotics pilot at steel fabrication plant

February 2, 2026 by Sam Francis

The State of Louisiana has signed a memorandum of understanding with Persona AI to launch a humanoid robotics pilot program inside an active heavy-industry facility, marking what officials describe as a rare instance of a US state formally supporting humanoid robot development in a live industrial setting.

The pilot will be conducted at SSE Steel Fabrication’s large-scale steel fabrication facility in St Bernard Parish and will focus on collecting real-world data on human movement and task execution in a working manufacturing environment.

According to the announcement, the initiative is intended to support the development of humanoid robots capable of operating in environments “originally built for humans rather than redesigned for traditional automation”, including the use of existing tools, navigation across uneven terrain, and adaptation to changing shop-floor conditions.
