How Can Data Visualization Enhance Robotics Development in 2022?

April 6, 2022 by David Edwards

In recent times, robotics is considered as one of the top-notch technologies which is capable of transforming the workforce through the different kinds of robots available in the world.

The market is involved in transforming data visualization into data science to increase the number of efficient robots in the near-coming days.

As per some of the recent surveys, it is expected that the revenue will hit around $189 billion by the year of 2027.  [Read more…] about How Can Data Visualization Enhance Robotics Development in 2022?

How to Detect and Remove Keyloggers on Your Phone

March 25, 2022 by David Edwards

Software and hardware devices designed for covert monitoring of the phone users’ activities have recently received the widest distribution.

Monitoring software products and hardware devices are of particular danger. They can be secretly (usually remotely) installed without the knowledge of the automated system’s owner (security administrator) or a particular phone’s owner.

A keylogger app for iPhone is a program that covertly records data about the keys tapped by the phone user. As a rule, keyloggers do not just record the codes of the entered keys – they, as it were, tie the keyboard information to the existing window and input component. Data Visualization Comes to Robotics

March 5, 2022 by David Edwards

The growth of the robotics sector was nothing short of spectacular in 2021. In just one year, robot density in manufacturing processes doubled, leading many to herald the dawn of a new era. Robots are finally here in numbers that matter, and it looks like they’re here to stay.

Robot development, though, is changing. It’s no longer a logical codified process, Instead, it’s more about learning and training, similar to the approach you’d take with a human child.

Unfortunately, getting to grips with all that data is difficult. Not only is the way machines are being programmed changing, but also how engineers and software professionals troubleshoot and analyze outputs. [Read more…] about Data Visualization Comes to Robotics

Sonatus unveils platform for building software-defined vehicles

February 24, 2022 by Sam Francis

Sonatus, a developer of software defined vehicle technology, has released the next generation of its Sonatus Digital Dynamics Vehicle Platform, which “lives both in-vehicle and in the cloud”, says the company.

Following a successful debut in the Genesis GV60, Sonatus has further enhanced the cloud-side of its platform to bolster automakers’ ability to build software-defined vehicles that can be updated with new features and functionality throughout their entire lifetimes – without requiring new software development.

Given the time and resources required to develop new software, removing this barrier significantly accelerates innovation and bolsters agility, claims Sonatus. [Read more…] about Sonatus unveils platform for building software-defined vehicles

The big AMR fleet computing debate: Distributed vs centralized

February 24, 2022 by David Edwards

By Limor Schweitzer, CTO and founder, MOV.AI

A shift in mobile robot computing needs

Over the past year, we have seen the growing adoption of centralized computing in Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) fleets. In this article, we ask if this trend is the best approach, especially in advanced deployments with a large number of AMRs and dynamic, non-sterile environments.

Past generations of AMRs, or more accurately Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), operated in sterile environments, with physically marked fixed routes and simple, predefined tasks. The computing requirements were almost nonexistent. [Read more…] about The big AMR fleet computing debate: Distributed vs centralized

NTT training robots to become data center workers

February 23, 2022 by Mai Tao

NTT, the national telecommunications provider of Japan and one of the largest such companies in the world, is training industrial robots to become data center workers.

The company has a separate business division for data centers called Global Data Centers and says its global platform is “one of the largest in the world”.

Its data centers tend to be huge facilities and are “expensive to run”, mostly because of the massive amount of electricity necessary and the cooling infrastructure, not to mention the sheer floor space required. [Read more…] about NTT training robots to become data center workers

How Important is Technology in Automation?

February 16, 2022 by David Edwards

Manufacturers face a variety of challenges in today’s evolving world. With security in mind, it is important to create processes to incorporate security into your operations and productivity.

When everyone is looking for ways to maintain social distance and monitor activity on the operating system, it can be difficult to promote and improve safety while maintaining productivity as well.

Automated systems not only reduce the risk of accidents but also help prevent occupational accidents, resulting in a safer workplace for all. By making your workplace safer, you also improve quality and productivity. [Read more…] about How Important is Technology in Automation?
