AutomationWare prepares for future with new robotic joints

March 24, 2023 by Mark Allinson

AutomationWare says it is “looking forward” to the rest of 2023 with the new version of its robotic joints (actuators) in J and T versions and UNI EN ISO 9001 certification for the design and production of systems for automation and industrial robotics.

The era of modular and scalable robotics based on AutomationWare’s J&T actuators begins and Robotics becomes Lego
Innovating the world of high-performance actuators.

AutomationWare has chosen a personal approach to the world of robots, producing high-tech actuators, which it uses both to produce robotic solutions itself (especially collaborative arms with special configurations, sizes and payloads) and to meet the demands of customers oriented towards tailor-made, in-house robotic solutions with degrees of freedom necessary for their application. The Future of Personal Computers: What to Expect in the Next Decade

March 24, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Personal computers significantly impact how we live, work, and communicate in the twenty-first century. With the development of technology, personal computers have seen substantial improvements in capability, performance, and design.

They are now more powerful, faster, and smaller than before. As a result, personal computers are now used for an extensive range of purposes, such as work, social media, gaming, and entertainment.

Additionally, they are employed in fields like engineering and manufacturing, where robotic systems are modeled and tested using robot simulation software. With the help of robot simulation software, developers can create and evaluate complex robotic systems without the need for expensive physical prototypes. Robots vs CNCs: What’s better for working metal?

March 23, 2023 by Mark Allinson

By David Alatorre, CTO, Rivelin Robotics

The use of metal additive manufacturing has revolutionized the manufacturing industry, allowing for the creation of complex and intricate parts in a faster and more cost-effective manner.

However, essential post processing of these parts introduces time and financial constraints to the overall cost-per-part that can negate the benefits of additive manufacturing altogether. Support removal is the critical first step of post processing metal additive manufacturing parts, and it is a challenging one.

Today, supports are still essential for part fidelity during the manufacturing process, but they must be removed to achieve the required finished product with the intended shape, features and tolerances. [Read more…] about Robots vs CNCs: What’s better for working metal?

Security robots ‘deter crime and minimize risk’, says Knightscope

March 23, 2023 by Mark Allinson

The concept of automated policing began as a science fiction concept years ago, but today it is “real and impactful”, according to security robotics specialist Knightscope.

The sophistication of robot-powered security is even more interesting than sci-fi to Stacy Stephens, the co-founder and chief client officer of Knightscope.

Launched in 2013, the Mountain View, California, public safety technology services company was the first in the world to deploy mobile, fully autonomous security robots (ASRs) in public spaces such as malls, parking lots and neighborhood parks. The evolution of car technology

March 20, 2023 by Mark Allinson

While there is a certain charm when it comes to classic cars, or cars that are a little bit older, they can leave you having a less than comfortable journey.

Winding down the windows with handles as the only form of AC and needing to heat the car up for 15 minutes because of the slow heaters can put a damper on the trip for sure.

And while you can hook your phone up and use that as SatNav, most cars now come with it. Leaving the A to Z map in the past (unless you love a tech-free lifestyle).  [Read more…] about The evolution of car technology
