thyssenkrupp to sell Automation Engineering to Agile Robots

thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology has initiated the sale of its Automation Engineering business unit to Munich-based Agile Robots SE.

With the signing of the agreement, the segment has taken an important step in its transformation process. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected within the coming months.

Nvidia says its new AI physics platform enables engineers to work ‘500 times faster’ in aerospace and automotive

Nvidia says leading aerospace and automotive companies are accelerating complex engineering tasks by as much as 500x using its new DoMINO NIM microservice, part of the Nvidia PhysicsNeMo AI physics framework.

According to the company, the combination of GPU-accelerated computing, AI-powered physics modelling and interactive digital twins is transforming how enterprises run simulations for aircraft, vehicles and heavy machinery.

The platform enables “near real-time simulation” of physical systems, significantly compressing design cycles and allowing engineers to explore larger design spaces with far greater accuracy. Beckhoff USA to supply automation and safety tech for Dexterity’s Mech ‘superhumanoids’

Dexterity, a provider of enterprise physical AI and robotics, and Beckhoff USA, a pioneer in automation technology and creator of the EtherCAT fieldbus and Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE), have entered into a key supplier agreement for the design and development of Mech “superhumanoid robots”.

Beckhoff provides Dexterity with a wide range of technologies to enable advanced automation and kinematics in current and future robotic solutions such as Mech.

With many notable projects including a collaboration with FedEx and Sagawa Express to deploy truck loading and unloading robots, Dexterity currently has a $1.65 billion valuation and has been cited as being on the fast track to an IPO. ITT expands engineering and manufacturing site in Saudi Arabia with $25 million investment

Engineering company ITT has announced the completion of the second phase of a planned $25 million expansion of its Industrial Process (IP) manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

This expansion doubles ITT’s capacity and strengthens its position as a preferred supplier to Middle East customers. ITT is a provider of highly engineered critical components for various industries.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents one of the fastest-growing markets for ITT’s flow business driven by market demand and the site’s excellent track record of performance in large-scale projects, including an average of 96 percent on-time delivery since 2019. bananaz launches AI-powered design agent for mechanical engineers
