Deep Robotics launches new wheeled-legged robot for industrial inspection and emergency response

May 18, 2026 by David Edwards

Deep Robotics has unveiled its next-generation industry-grade wheeled-legged robot, the Lynx M20S. As an iterative upgrade to the Lynx M20, the M20S achieves leapfrog advancements in three core performance areas: load capacity, protection, and speed, significantly improving industry adaptability and operational efficiency.

Designed as an intelligent, hardcore all-terrain operational platform, the launch of the Lynx M20S will further expand the application boundaries in diverse industry scenarios such as power inspection, security patrols, and emergency firefighting.

The Lynx M20S is a new-generation industry-grade wheeled-legged robot purpose-built for complex terrains and hazardous environments. [Read more…] about Deep Robotics launches new wheeled-legged robot for industrial inspection and emergency response

Path Robotics unveils mobile robotic welding system combining AI and quadruped mobility

April 16, 2026 by David Edwards

Path Robotics, a developer of physical AI for manufacturing, has announced the launch of Rove, a mobile robotic welding system that pairs the company’s Obsidian physical AI model with a quadruped robot.

The launch marks a major expansion for Path Robotics – where Obsidian already delivers autonomous, adaptive welding inside fixed cells, Rove extends that capability to the field, bringing intelligent welding to the part rather than the part to the workpiece.

Shipbuilding, heavy construction, and large-scale fabrication face a shared constraint: massive assemblies, inconsistent fit-up, and workpieces that cannot be moved, let alone fixtured inside of a welding cell. Doosan Robotics partners with Daedong to develop advanced technology for agriculture

November 2, 2025 by Sam Francis

Doosan Robotics has signed an agreement with agritech company Daedong to jointly develop on-device AI technology and business collaboration in the agricultural robotics sector.

Under this agreement, the two companies will work together to develop field robots optimized for smart farms and outdoor agricultural environments.

They will also focus on creating and commercializing on-device AI technology that can be applied to unstructured agricultural settings. Furthermore, the collaboration aims to pave the way for expanding into the global market for field robots. AI Meets Field Robotics: Why Smart Inspections Go Beyond Automation

September 8, 2025 by Mai Tao

The Hidden Weakness of Automation

At first glance, many workshops give the impression that machines are running the show. A welding arm sends out brief showers of sparks, a drone hovers around a steel beam, and a small transport unit winds its way between stacks of pallets.

From a distance it looks like a closed system without weak points. A closer look tells another story.

Motors that run smoothly for most of the shift can hide tiny fractures that end in sudden stoppage. In one automotive plant, a single unnoticed crack in a gearbox housing forced an entire line to shut down for two days.
