Global robotics venture capital investment reaches $5.7 billion in 2021

July 22, 2022 by David Edwards

Global robotics venture capital investments reached $5.7 billion in 2021, a 38 percent year-on-year growth, according to a report by ABI Research, a technology intelligence firm.

The growth was driven by successful startups from key markets such as the United States, China, the United Kingdom, and Israel. Leading startups demonstrated strong capabilities in three major domains: mobility, autonomy, and collaboration, specifically human-machine collaboration.

The investment market worldwide was relatively muted in 2020, as fewer deals were concluded due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the current labor shortage induced by Covid-19 and the ongoing supply chain crunch are leading more businesses to look for ways to automate labor-intensive, repetitive, and hazardous tasks. Key VPN Statistics: What Are the Numbers Telling Us?

July 21, 2022 by David Edwards

All over the world, individuals use virtual private networks (VPNs) to secure their connections to the internet. The encryption protects your activity from prying eyes, allowing you to browse the web with greater anonymity.

Furthermore, a VPN may replace your actual IP address with one from another region, allowing you to access material that would otherwise be. [Read more…] about Key VPN Statistics: What Are the Numbers Telling Us?

Commercial Truck Accidents: Factors that Determine Liability

July 21, 2022 by David Edwards

Consumer goods are transported across locations by commercial trucks over 75 percent of the time. Truck transportation is essential to the economy of American cities and communities.

They provide substantially larger transportation services to businesses and customers than other vehicles on the road. However, trucks create the possibility of several dangers and accidents due to their size.

Accidents involving commercial trucks differ from passenger automobiles, partly because a trucking business typically employs the truck driver involved in the collision. Several other parties apart from the trucking firm could be held legally liable for a truck accident. [Read more…] about Commercial Truck Accidents: Factors that Determine Liability

North America ‘catching up’ in global robotics race, says report

July 7, 2022 by David Edwards

A research study released by Strategic Exits Partners, a boutique investment bank specializing in the sale of technology companies, found that although America has lagged behind Asia in design and production of manufacturing robots, it is now positioned to catch up and lead in a new global robotics race.

The study analyzed the last five years of transactions including 300 exits, and 5,000 investments into 3,000 global companies.

Len Zapalowski, partner, Strategic Exits Partners, says: “Our research found that despite America’s minor role in manufacturing robots, it is now making robot acquisitions at a rapid rate that exceeds its geopolitical rivals. Junk car buyers and why you should consider them

June 29, 2022 by David Edwards

One of the worst things anyone can experience at a random moment is a lack of cash. This can be further compounded if you have a piece of damaged heavy machinery lying around and taking up real estate. This piece of heavy machinery is almost always a car and it can be a problem that no one wants to deal with.

This is where the junk car buyer Junkcarsus or a salvage yard comes in to help you. The Junkcarsus businesses specialize in the buying of old or damaged cars which can then be salvaged for parts or resold as a whole.

Such dealing opportunities are essentially a way out for people trying to be relieved of the burden of having a beat-up car taking up space. At the same time, they will give you a quick payday for something that you don’t even want. [Read more…] about Junk car buyers and why you should consider them

3 Fundamental Math Prerequisites for Robotics

June 20, 2022 by David Edwards

Over the past few decades, robotics research has increased exponentially, creating a new industry. Today, there are tons of robots operating globally across different sectors, and it’s safe to say that we’re in the middle of a robotic revolution.

Of course, this is nothing like the sci-fi movies where robots rip off human heads and try to take over the world. Rather, it simply means that innovative scientists and engineers are constantly finding ways to make lives easier with robotics.

So, how do you hop on this train? For starters, you need math. Math is an integral part of robotics, and while this might be a bummer, it’s not going to change anytime soon. [Read more…] about 3 Fundamental Math Prerequisites for Robotics
