Therefore, an indoor positioning system (IPS) has generated significant attention due to its potential for diverse applications in a variety of industries.

IPS uses different criteria, one of which is the kind of signals used for locating, such as radio frequency signals, light, sound and magnetic fields.

Fanuc launches new 1,000 kg payload industrial robotic arm

Fanuc America, the world’s largest maker of industrial robots, has introduced the new M-1000iA robot capable of handling very heavy products including automotive components, construction materials and battery packs for electric vehicles.

The M-1000iA’s serial-link construction gives the robot a wider range of motion in every direction. It can extend its arm upright or rotate it backwards, which is not possible for typical heavy-payload robots with a parallel-link mechanism.

SICK launches new product for contactless measurement of speed and length

SICK Sensor Intelligence has launched a new system for contactless measurement of speed and length.

With the SPEETEC sensor solution, SICK says it is expanding its product range for speed and length measurement of objects moving in a linear path to include technology that measures directly on the material surface.
