Indy Autonomous Challenge to race at iconic Texas speedway

November 4, 2022 by Mark Allinson

The Indy Autonomous Challenge will return to racing at another iconic track with “The Indy Autonomous Challenge Powered by Cisco” at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, November 11th in Fort Worth, Texas.

This follows a record setting competition at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last October, and making history at CES 2022 in January with the world’s first-ever, head-to-head autonomous racing competition.

Presenting sponsor Cisco Systems will enable critical in-vehicle and car-to-trackside connectivity with Dallara AV-21 racecars using ultra-low latency wireless technology for the head-to-head autonomous racecar competition where nine IAC teams will seek to compete. Interview: Energy Systems Network CEO Paul Mitchell talks about the future of cars and Indy Autonomous Challenge

January 10, 2022 by Mark Allinson

It’s been a while since we wrote up an interview, mainly because they take a long time to transcribe and edit into a readable article. And we’re not yet a large enough website to devote time to doing that because there are many other stories that would have to wait while we’re busy doing that.

However, the subject of electric vehicles and EV charging networks are important technologies that literally millions of people have been reading about on this website, and we think they will find this interview interesting.

The interview is with Paul Mitchell, president and CEO of Energy Systems Network, a US-based nonprofit which could be described as a kind of public-private partnership with the aim of discovering and commercialising technologies that provide a platform for the continued healthy growth of the entire clean-energy future of moving machines – cars and other road-going vehicles in particular, but possibly even marine vessels and other types of craft such as drones and maybe even planes. MassRobotics partners with Abu Dhabi organization for $3 million prize competition

December 29, 2021 by Mark Allinson

MassRobotics is partnering with a group from Abu Dhabi to organize another biennial edition of the MBZIRC Maritime Grand Challenge, also known as the Mohammed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge.

The organizers say it is a global competition “designed to push the boundaries of autonomous robotics” and features a total prize purse of over $3 million.

The challenge, open to universities, research centers, companies, and individual innovators, calls for collaboration between unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned surface vehicles to perform complex navigation and manipulation tasks in a GNSS-denied environment at sea to detect unfriendly vessels and move or capture cargo. How Artificial Intelligence is Shaping the Competition Between Website Builders

April 15, 2021 by Polly

Given the tremendous strides forward in technology over the past few years, it can feel a little jarring for experts and industry correspondents to realize that artificial intelligence still represents something of an abstract concept to much of the general public.

This holds true even in spite of the fact that the overwhelming majority interact with and, more importantly, utilise artificial intelligence to at least some degree on a daily basis, and that much of our collective twenty-first-century worldview is defined, shaped, and influenced by AI.

Of course, the list of instances wherein AI is being deployed to great effect within consumer circles is incredibly long – and it is growing longer each and every year. [Read more…] about How Artificial Intelligence is Shaping the Competition Between Website Builders
