Cognibotics receives $1.7 million order for its robot calibration technology

March 6, 2026 by David Edwards

Cognibotics has announced that a “leading global industrial robot manufacturer” has placed an order valued at approximately SEK 16 million ($1.7 million) for its CogniCal robot calibration technology.

The order expands the customer’s use of CogniCal in robot production, and reinforces the growing role of calibration in industrial robot manufacturing.

CogniCal’s high-accuracy robot performance compensates for geometric deviations, elastic effects, and payload influence. The result is improved accuracy, reduced variance between robots, and shorter start time for end customers. HD Hyundai selects Siemens Xcelerator for integrated digital shipbuilding platform

March 5, 2026 by David Edwards

Europe’s largest engineering company, Siemens, has been selected by HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE), the intermediary holding company of HD Hyundai, as a preferred partner to establish an integrated platform to manage the entire shipbuilding process as a single data flow to help ensure consistency across all its global shipyard facilities.

The planned platform will form the core foundation of HD Hyundai’s “Future of Shipyard” project, a future-oriented shipyard that it aims to complete by 2030.

The project forms part of HD Hyundai’s ongoing efforts to address data discontinuities that have existed across ship design and production processes and to establish a more structured, digitally enabled shipbuilding environment. The Global Expansion of Data Centers: What Businesses Need to Know

March 5, 2026 by David Edwards

The digital landscape is shifting under our feet, and it’s happening faster than most of us realize. Honestly, it can feel a bit overwhelming to keep up. Not long ago, the conversation around data centers was limited to dusty IT rooms and basement servers.

Today, these facilities have become the literal backbone of the modern economy. As businesses look toward international growth, the physical location of their digital infrastructure has become a deciding factor in their success.

The global expansion of data centers isn’t just a technical trend. It is a fundamental change in how commerce, communication, and innovation function on a global scale. [Read more…] about The Global Expansion of Data Centers: What Businesses Need to Know

Perspective from Zebra Technologies: Pocket automation – the pragmatic path to a resilient supply chain in 2026

March 4, 2026 by David Edwards

By Andre Luecht, global strategy lead – transport and logistics at Zebra Technologies

While full-site automation grabs headlines, the most decisive trend involves targeted, scalable investments that empower frontline workers, build resilience, and perfect the all-important final customer touchpoint.

Discussions about the future of manufacturing and logistics often conjure images of vast, lights-out facilities operating with near-total autonomy. While these visions capture the imagination, the practical path forward for most organizations in 2026 looks quite different.

Faced with persistent economic uncertainty and intense cost pressures, leaders find themselves questioning the wisdom of massive, high-risk capital expenditures. The real, decisive trend shaping our industry lies not in monolithic, top-down automation but in a more pragmatic, ground-up approach: “pocket automation”. Non-QM Mortgages for Foreign Nationals: A Guide to Flexible Lending

March 4, 2026 by David Edwards

Buying property in the United States as a non-resident can feel complicated, especially when traditional lenders require a Social Security number and US credit history. However, non-qualified mortgages for foreign nationals are built to solve that problem.

They allow flexible documentation. Such as? Foreign income, international credit reports, and global assets.

In this guide, you will learn what non-QM loans are, how they work for foreign buyers, and what to consider before applying. [Read more…] about Non-QM Mortgages for Foreign Nationals: A Guide to Flexible Lending

From Design to Deployment: Synthetic Data Management in Action

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

Synthetic data generation has become a practical requirement in modern software delivery. Teams need realistic, compliant datasets on demand – not as a “nice to have”, but as a way to ship faster while reducing privacy risk and improving test coverage.

But most organizations learn quickly that synthetic data generation doesn’t solve the problem by itself. The real challenge is operational: how synthetic data is prepared, governed, maintained, and delivered across environments and pipelines. In practice, synthetic data has to work in two places at once – design and deployment.

That’s the role of enterprise synthetic data management. It turns synthetic data into an operational asset that behaves like real data, preserves cross-system relationships, stays compliant, and is available when teams need it. Here’s what synthetic data management looks like in action – and how organizations move from isolated generation to scalable delivery with K2view. Where to Buy Process Automation Services for Manufacturing

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

From robotic to business process automation, the number of tasks manufacturing companies can delegate to more efficient technologies is growing.

However, many enterprises need to seek third-party expertise to implement these properly, or more inefficiencies and misunderstandings could arise.

So, where can you buy process automation services for manufacturing, and how can they increase the likelihood of yielding the results organizations want? [Read more…] about Where to Buy Process Automation Services for Manufacturing

When the Algorithm Fails: Who is Legally Responsible After a Waymo Accident?

February 19, 2026 by David Edwards

The Technology is Impressive, But it’s Not Infallible

Waymo’s autonomous vehicles are, by most technical measures, a remarkable achievement. Each car is equipped with a suite of LiDAR sensors, radar, cameras, and a continuously updated AI model trained on billions of miles of real-world and simulated driving data.

Alphabet’s robotaxi division has positioned itself as the safest self-driving platform on the road, and statistically, there is data to support that claim.

But “safer on average” is not the same as “safe in every situation.” Since Waymo expanded its commercial operations in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has logged multiple incident reports involving its vehicles. February 19, 2026 by David Edwards

Bitcoin allows you to hold and control your own money without relying on an intermediary. However, with that freedom comes great responsibility.

Unlike traditional banking, Bitcoin operates on a public ledger. Every transaction ever made is permanently recorded and can be visible to the public. That means you must take steps to avoid your business becoming public.

This guide walks through the top five tips you should follow as a bitcoin holder to protect your privacy and, by extension, the security of your bitcoin. [Read more…] about Top 5 Bitcoin Privacy Tips Every HODLer Should Follow
