ABB Robotics launches PickMaster Lite to ‘simplify and accelerate robotic picking’

May 7, 2026 by David Edwards

ABB Robotics has launched PickMaster Lite, a streamlined version of its PickMaster software suite designed to help packaging OEMs and system integrators deploy high-speed, vision-guided robotic picking applications more quickly and with less complexity.

Offering essential functionality for common picking tasks, PickMaster Lite reduces engineering effort and simplifies system setup, enabling faster commissioning and lower total cost of ownership.

Craig McDonnell, business line managing director industries at ABB Robotics, says: “Manufacturers are increasingly looking for automation that can be deployed quickly and reliably to keep pace with changing demand. Where to Buy Process Automation Services for Manufacturing

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

From robotic to business process automation, the number of tasks manufacturing companies can delegate to more efficient technologies is growing.

However, many enterprises need to seek third-party expertise to implement these properly, or more inefficiencies and misunderstandings could arise.

So, where can you buy process automation services for manufacturing, and how can they increase the likelihood of yielding the results organizations want? [Read more…] about Where to Buy Process Automation Services for Manufacturing

RoboDK launches CAM solution designed to reduce robotic machining deployment times

February 6, 2026 by Sam Francis

RoboDK, a provider of robot simulation and offline programming software, has launched RoboDK CAM, describing it as “a comprehensive software solution that significantly reduces deployment times for automated machining cells”.

Unlike complex traditional approaches which require specialists to manually program each robot and end-effector using vendor-specific languages, RoboDK CAM automatically generates robot code from CAD designs and digital simulations, reducing the complexity and cost of machining automation deployments.

This allows manufacturers and integrators to move directly from design to production without having to be experts in robot programming. [Read more…] about RoboDK launches CAM solution designed to reduce robotic machining deployment times

Tiny industrial robot maker Mecademic introduces certified integrator program

October 9, 2025 by Mai Tao

Mecademic, the maker of the tiniest industrial robots in the world, has launched a Certified Integrator Program.

This follows a soft introduction earlier this year at Automate 2025 in Chicago and further discussions during Automatica 2025, held June 24-27 in Munich.

This new initiative, developed for system integrators and custom machine builders, supports industry growth, accelerates automation deployment, and promotes long-term collaboration across precision-driven sectors such as medical devices, electronics, photonics, and advanced manufacturing.

Stanislav Gleizer, director, strategic partnerships integrators and OEMs, says: “The Certified Partner Program reflects our belief that automation success is rooted in collaboration. We’re excited to work with integrators who share our passion for innovation, precision, and creating meaningful impact.” [Read more…] about Tiny industrial robot maker Mecademic introduces certified integrator program
