Bear Robotics, a Silicon Valley-based innovator of hospitality robots, announces the launch of its new robot, Servi Plus, a service industry game-changer featuring increased capacity, enhanced user experience features, and the smoothest suspension engineering in the industry for transporting liquids and traversing ramps. 

With an expanded 88 lb (40 kg) payload and a 16+ dish capacity, Servi Plus is the heavy-duty answer to hospitality workflow automation.

Körber chooses robotics-as-a-service for next phase of e-fulfillment journey

Körber has decided that the next phase of its journey in e-fulfillment will use robotics-as-a-service.

The technology company which employs more than 12,000 people worldwide says RaaS “empowers businesses to adapt and thrive in new era of supply chain complexity”.

Noah Medical unveils first trials of its Galaxy robotic surgical system in human patients

Medical robotics innovator Noah Medical has unveiled its ongoing trial at Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

The Frontier study is a first-in-human trial focused on the safety and feasibility of the Galaxy System, which is designed to improve location accuracy and successful diagnosis of lung nodules using its proprietary TiLT+ Technology.

The study is enrolling a small cohort of patients with the goal of successfully navigating to and biopsying peripheral lung nodules. The Galaxy System’s unique navigation capabilities were created to enable improved diagnosis and quicker time to treatment. Thira Robotics launches new generation of autonomous mobile robots

Thira Robotics, a South Korean autonomous mobile robots (AMR) developer and a subsidiary of smart factory solutions leader THiRA UTech, has officially launched in the US market, providing AMR to navigate facility conditions previously not fit for automation.

Thira Robotics offers solutions to healthcare, manufacturing, and supply chain industries to overcome physical barriers to technology adoption. Their launch coincides with Promat 2023, held in Chicago starting March 20th.

Peter Kim, CEO of Thira Robotics, says: “Some plants with poor conditions struggle to integrate AMR successfully. Now, older manufacturers don’t need to remodel to integrate. Plus One Robotics raises $50 million in new funding

Plus One Robotics, a provider of advanced AI vision software and solutions for robotic parcel handling, has raised $50 million in Series C funding.

The round was led by Scale Venture Partners, with Partner Rory O’Driscoll joining the board of directors. Top Tier Capital Partners, Tyche Partners, ROBO Global Ventures, Translink, McRock, and Pritzker Group Venture Capital also participated in the round alongside existing investors, which brings the company’s total funding to date to nearly $100 million.

Autonomous construction equipment company Teleo signs up new customers and expands worldwide

Teleo, a company building autonomous technology for heavy construction equipment, has agreed deals with construction customers John Aarts Group, Teichert and Tomahawk Construction for remote-operated wheel loaders, bulldozers, and dump trucks, respectively.

In addition, Teleo has announced the company is expanding globally through a new dealer partner network spanning across the United States, Europe and Canada with partners Dobbs Positioning Solutions, RDO Equipment, SMS Equipment and SR-O Technology.

Construction and mining work is skilled, physically demanding and often dangerous. According to the Associated General Contractors of America, 91 percent of construction firms are having a hard time finding workers to hire, driving up costs and project delays. International Union of Operating Engineers and Built Robotics renew training partnership

Built Robotics, the inventor of the Exosystem, which is said to convert excavators into robots, has renewed its partnership with the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE).

The renewal extends the strategic partnership through 2026, and will continue to put union members in the driver’s seat of construction automation.

James Callahan, general president of the IUOE, says: “Together with Built Robotics, we have pioneered a model of engagement between the Union and advanced technology providers to give our members continued opportunities to learn and develop their careers. Fuzzy Logic Robotics unveils new robot simulation software

Fuzzy Logic Robotics has launched its “no-code industrial robot programming and simulation software”, Fuzzy Studio, on its website.

Fuzzy Studio allows non-experts in robotics to create virtual cells and control industrial robots, enabling them to robotize their production at an affordable price and lower risk, even in situations that were once considered impossible, such as for small batches or complex parts.

The use of collaborative robots or “cobots” is on the rise in the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical application takes up around 0.05 percent of the total medical robot market size.

Valued at $553 million, the pharmaceutical robotic market is forecast to grow at 15.7 percent compound annual growth rate to reach $2 billion by 2030.
