Best Wholesale Voice Providers in 2026: What Carriers Should Look for in a Termination Partner

June 29, 2026 by Sam Francis

The wholesale voice termination market in 2026 is defined by a fundamental shift: carriers and enterprises are demanding the same level of control and transparency from their upstream partners that they provide to their own customers.

The days of treating termination as a pure commodities business are over, replaced by an environment where network ownership, quality tiering, and operational control separate the leaders from the rest.

For carriers routing meaningful volume, the termination partner you choose determines three things: per-minute cost, call quality, and how reliably your traffic reaches its destination. How AI Navigation is Improving the Performance of Robotic Pool Cleaners

June 29, 2026 by Sam Francis

Robotic pool cleaners used to be judged mostly by suction, brushes, and how much debris they could collect. Those things still matter, but they are no longer the whole performance story.

The bigger shift is navigation.

A pool robot that moves randomly may clean some areas well and miss others. It may repeat the same route, struggle near steps, or leave the waterline looking unfinished. That is why AI navigation is becoming a core part of robotic pool cleaner performance. It helps the machine understand the pool as a space, not just a container of water. Air Cargo Under Strain: The Consequences of FAA Flight Reductions on Global Supply Chains

June 29, 2026 by Sam Francis

The disruption logged across the trade press as the FAA morning flight reduction 2026 exposed how fragile high-value air cargo really is, and its trigger had nothing to do with cargo holds.

It began on November 6, when the Federal Aviation Administration issued an emergency order: the nation’s forty busiest airports had to phase in domestic flight cuts, from 4% on November 7 to a 10% target by the 14th.

The restrictions ran across the daytime window, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. local, and traced to air traffic control staffing shortages as controllers worked without pay through the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. International flights stayed exempt. [Read more…] about Air Cargo Under Strain: The Consequences of FAA Flight Reductions on Global Supply Chains

Flexiv launches new ‘adaptive robots’ for industrial automation

June 26, 2026 by Sam Francis

Flexiv has launched two new adaptive robots designed to bring greater tactile sensing and physical AI capabilities to industrial automation.

The company unveiled its new Enlight robotic arm and Mico dual-arm robotic platform, describing them as a significant step forward in force-controlled robotics and embodied intelligence.

The flagship Enlight is a seven-axis adaptive robot equipped with multi-dimensional force-torque sensors integrated into each of its seven joints. According to Flexiv, this enables whole-body touch sensitivity, allowing the robot to detect single-touch contact, track multiple contact points, and recognize tactile patterns. People want robots in warehouses and factories, not hospitals or schools, Hexagon study finds

June 26, 2026 by Sam Francis

New findings from Hexagon’s global Robot Generation study show that both adults and children are open to robots at work, but are setting clear terms for where and how they should be used.

Asked whether they would prefer a human or a robot to handle specific workplace tasks, adults consistently chose robots for physical, repetitive, and hazardous work. 68 percent prefer a robot for lifting and transporting heavy items, 54 percent for carrying and delivering, and 52 percent for monitoring hazards.

Children follow the same pattern with even greater openness, with 69 percent preferring a robot for heavy lifting, and 59 percent for carrying and delivering. [Read more…] about People want robots in warehouses and factories, not hospitals or schools, Hexagon study finds

ABB Robotics and Psyonic use human-generated data to advance robotic dexterity

June 26, 2026 by Sam Francis

Dexterity remains a major challenge for industry; improved handling can reduce engineering time by up to 30%

ABB Robotics is collaborating with California bionics company, Psyonic, to advance robotic gripping and dexterity using a new approach that utilizes real-world manipulation data from human prosthetic use.

By combining the Psyonic Ability Hand with an ABB GoFa cobot, the collaboration will explore how touch and motion data generated by human prosthetic use can be used to train robots to perform delicate, variable tasks that have traditionally been difficult to automate.
