Sole Source Capital portfolio company Supply Chain Services acquires ISG Technologies

Sole Source Capital, an industrial-focused private equity firm, says its portfolio company Supply Chain Services, a provider of automatic identification and data capture and factory automation solutions to customers across North America, has acquired ISG Technologies.

The acquisition of ISG Technologies adds to Supply Chain Service’s product line and expands its geographic reach into Texas.

This is the fourth add-on transaction supported by Sole Source Capital, following the purchases of Dasco Label, Miles Data and Coridian since Supply Chain Services was acquired in May 2020. Sea Machines Robotics signs $3 million contract with US DoD to create autonomous supply stations globally

Sea Machines Robotics, a developer of autonomous command and control and perception systems for the marine industries, has advanced its multi-year agreement with the US Department of Defense.

Phase 2 of the multi-phase contract delegates $3.1 million to the deployment of a full-scale ocean-going replenishment platform.

In October 2020, Sea Machines was enlisted by the DoD to engineer, build and demonstrate ready-to-deploy system kits that transform existing commercial barges to platforms capable of landing and replenishing military aircraft. FedEx implements Berkshire Grey’s robotic system for small package processing

FedEx Ground, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp, has recently implemented Berkshire Grey’s Robotic Product Sortation and Identification (RPSi) systems at its station in Queens, New York.

Berkshire Grey, a developer of Intelligent Enterprise Robotics solutions, executed the RPSi systems to robotically sort the thousands of small packages that arrive daily in bulk into containers bound for other specific hubs and stations across the FedEx Ground network.

Walmart teams up with Symbotic to implement ‘industry-leading supply chain automation system’

Symbotic, a supply chain robotics and automation company, and retail giant Walmart are partnering to “reimagine the retailer’s regional distribution network”.

Symbotic first implemented its system in Walmart’s Brooksville, Florida distribution center in 2017. Since that time, the companies have worked together to optimize the system.

Today, Symbotic will begin the process of outfitting 25 additional regional distribution centers with the high-tech system aimed at furthering Walmart’s mission of operating a best-in-class supply chain. Ambi Robotics selects DWFritz to manufacture its robotic systems for logistics

Ambi Robotics, an artificial intelligence and robotics company that develops advanced supply chain solutions based on simulation-to-reality AI to power highly-dexterous robots, and DWFritz Automation, a provider of high-precision automation and metrology solutions, are partnering to build custom robotic solutions for Ambi Robotics’ supply chain customers.

Geek+ and Circle K implement ‘Asia’s largest smart warehouse for grocery deliveries’

Geek+ is supplying 100 autonomous mobile robots to Circle K for its distribution center in Hong Kong.

The companies say the implementation represents the commitment of Geek+ and Circle K Hong Kong to “build supply chain resilience using technology and support customers with a wide selection of products and excellent services”.

DHL to acquire 2,000 robots from Locus Robotics

DHL Supply Chain, part of the Deutsche Post DHL Group, has signed a framework agreement expanding its collaboration with Locus Robotics.

Initial investments in assisted picking robots have proven effective in commercially scaled operations, and this multi-million dollar agreement will enhance DHL’s wider Accelerated Digitalization Strategy.
