Cognibotics helps advance motion layer for AI-guided surgical robotics in CAISA

February 12, 2026 by Sam Francis

Cognibotics is contributing its motion software to the Vinnova-funded CAISA (Collaborative Artificial Intelligent Surgical Assistant) project as it enters the demonstrator phase.

In CAISA, Cognibotics provides the motion layer between AI-based perception and path planning modules.

In contrast to using the standard robot controller, Cognibotics solution enables the robot to be commanded in different ways as AI and planning modules require – supporting consistent, maintainable, yet dynamic instrument handling in a non-clinical paediatric heart surgery research testbed. Allonic raises $7.2 million to build ‘foundation for advanced robotic hardware’

February 12, 2026 by Sam Francis

Robotic intelligence is advancing at an extraordinary pace, with perception and autonomy improving by the day. But as robotics grows into the next global ecosystem, one constraint continues to hold the entire field back: how robot bodies are manufactured.

Today, most advanced robots are still built through slow, often manual assembly of hundreds of precision parts. This makes them expensive to produce, hard to customize for diverse use cases, and difficult to scale.

Allonic believes this manufacturing bottleneck is now the defining limit on what robotics can become.

Founded in Hungary, with a joint US HQ, Allonic is building a new manufacturing platform designed to remove that constraint entirely. [Read more…] about Allonic raises $7.2 million to build ‘foundation for advanced robotic hardware’

7 HR Tasks to Digitize in Smart Factories

February 12, 2026 by Sam Francis

Smart factories run on real-time data, connected systems, and automated workflows. HR should operate with the same level of precision. After all, when production lines are digital but onboarding packets and payroll documentation are still manual, errors and delays follow.

Below are seven HR processes smart factories should modernize to reduce friction and improve operational performance. [Read more…] about 7 HR Tasks to Digitize in Smart Factories

Trener Robotics to deliver ‘pre-trained skills to industrial robots’

February 12, 2026 by Sam Francis

For decades, the power of industrial robotics has been limited by the complexity of a dynamic world, confining millions of robotic arms to repetitive, single-purpose tasks in highly controlled environments.

But now, with the Acteris platform, Trener Robotics (formerly T-Robotics) says it is “fundamentally changing this paradigm”.

Dr Asad Tirmizi, co-founder and CEO of Trener Robotics, says: “By replacing procedural programming with pre-trained AI skills, we give robots the ability to understand and act with true intelligence learned from data extracted from humans, robots, and videos of industrial processes.” [Read more…] about Trener Robotics to deliver ‘pre-trained skills to industrial robots’
