Sereact raises $110 million investment to advance its ‘world model’ for robotics and AI

April 27, 2026 by David Edwards

Sereact has raised a $110 million Series B round led by Headline, with participation from Bullhound Capital, Daphni, and Felix Capital.

Existing investors Air Street Capital, Creandum (who led the company’s 2025 Series A round), and Point Nine once again invested in Sereact.

The round funds two priorities: scaling Cortex 2 and entering the United States. Sereact will open its first US office in Boston this summer and hire commercial, application, and engineering staff locally. Agibot unveils new generation of embodied AI robots and models for real-world deployment

April 21, 2026 by David Edwards

Agibot has unveiled a new generation of embodied AI robots and foundation models, signaling what the company describes as a shift toward large-scale deployment of “physical AI” across industrial and commercial environments.

The announcements were made at the company’s 2026 Partner Conference, where Agibot introduced multiple robotic platforms and AI systems built around its “One Robotic Body, Three Intelligences” architecture, designed to integrate motion, manipulation, and human interaction into a unified system.

Peng Zhihui, co-founder, president and CTO of Agibot, said the industry is moving beyond experimentation toward practical deployment. [Read more…] about Agibot unveils new generation of embodied AI robots and models for real-world deployment

Generalist AI unveils GEN-1 model, claiming breakthrough in real-world robotic task performance

April 11, 2026 by Sam Francis

Generalist AI has introduced a new robotics model, GEN-1, which the company says marks a significant step toward general-purpose artificial intelligence for physical tasks.

The model is designed as an “embodied foundation model” – a type of AI system that can perceive, reason and act in the physical world – and is trained on large-scale datasets of real-world interactions rather than narrow, task-specific programming.

According to the company, GEN-1 achieves “99 percent success rates” on certain tasks, compared with around 64 percent for its previous-generation system, while completing tasks up to three times faster. The system is also described as highly data-efficient, requiring roughly one hour of robot-specific data to adapt to new tasks. Agile Robots and Google DeepMind partner to ‘bring intelligence to robotics’

March 24, 2026 by Sam Francis

Agile Robots, a developer of humanoids and other robots, and Google DeepMind, the renowned AI lab, have formed a strategic research partnership to advance next generation AI robotics and “bring intelligence to robotics”.

The partnership is built on a belief that applying AI in the physical world will be transformative. The collaboration will bring cutting-edge AI into real-world robotic systems and enable adaptable, reasoning robots for industrial environments. It combines Google DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics foundation models with Agile Robots’ scalable industrial robotics platform.

By bringing together Agile Robots’ hardware and other AI robotic solutions developed in Germany, with Google DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics foundation models, the two teams will improve performance via robot deployment, data collection, model training and iteration. Rhoda AI launches with $450 million Series A to ‘bring robots out of the lab and Into the real world’

March 12, 2026 by David Edwards

Rhoda AI has announced its public launch after 18 months in stealth, unveiling FutureVision, a new approach to robotic intelligence based on video-predictive control and designed to operate beyond controlled laboratory demonstrations and into real-world environments.

The company also announced it has raised $450 million in Series A funding to accelerate development and industrial deployment.

Traditional industrial robots perform well in structured environments but remain largely limited to pre-programmed trajectories. More recent AI approaches – particularly vision-language-action (VLA) models – allow robots to learn from data and have demonstrated impressive results in laboratory settings. RLWRLD raises $26 million, bringing total funding to $41 million

March 11, 2026 by David Edwards

RLWRLD, a physical AI company developing robotics foundation models – software intelligence trained directly in real industrial environments – has closed a Seed 2 funding round, bringing its total seed investment to approximately $41 million.

The latest round raised approximately $26 million, following a $15 million Seed 1 round. The company said the new funding was driven not solely by capital needs but by a strategic push to expand its coalition of industry-based strategic investors (SIs) as demand for collaborative deployments accelerates.

The Seed 2 round includes financial investors Headline Asia, a Silicon Valley-based global venture capital firm, and Z Venture Capital Corporation, the corporate venture arm of Z Holdings – the merged entity of Yahoo Japan and LINE. Dexterity says its new world model delivers ‘major leap forward’ for physical AI-powered truck loading

March 6, 2026 by David Edwards

Dexterity, a developer of physical AI powered industrial robotics, has announced a “major leap forward” in its Physical AI stack, anchored by Foresight, a state-of-the-art world model and a 4D box packing agent.

These advancements help solve some of the most physically demanding and hardest-to-staff tasks, such as truck loading. Alongside the announcement, Dexterity is also launching the Foresight API Challenge with up to $50,000 in prizes for student teams.

Foresight is Dexterity’s physics-consistent world model, a real-time, transactable representation of the physical environment that enables robots to perceive, reason, and act. Foresight represents a new class of world model, built not for observation, but for physical manipulation at the production scale.
