How Access Control Systems Integrate with Industrial IoT for Real-Time Security Automation

April 30, 2026 by David Edwards

Industrial environments are undergoing a massive transformation driven by the Industrial Internet of Things. Factories, energy plants, and logistics hubs are now powered by connected sensors, edge devices, and intelligent control systems that continuously exchange data in real time.

The scale of this transformation is significant. By 2025, the number of industrial IoT devices is expected to reach over 152 million globally, with the market projected to grow from $194.4 billion in 2024 to $286.3 billion by 2029.

At the same time, IoT security risks are rising sharply, with over 50 percent of IoT devices having critical vulnerabilities and one in three data breaches now involving IoT components. [Read more…] about How Access Control Systems Integrate with Industrial IoT for Real-Time Security Automation

Sereact raises $110 million investment to advance its ‘world model’ for robotics and AI

April 27, 2026 by David Edwards

Sereact has raised a $110 million Series B round led by Headline, with participation from Bullhound Capital, Daphni, and Felix Capital.

Existing investors Air Street Capital, Creandum (who led the company’s 2025 Series A round), and Point Nine once again invested in Sereact.

The round funds two priorities: scaling Cortex 2 and entering the United States. Sereact will open its first US office in Boston this summer and hire commercial, application, and engineering staff locally. Minimizing Operational Hazards by Streamlining Data Organization and Control

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

Workplace risk is often discussed in terms of physical safety. Slips, falls, and equipment hazards tend to dominate the conversation. Yet a quieter, less visible threat exists in nearly every organization: disorganized information.

Poor data handling can lead to compliance issues, lost productivity, and costly mistakes. In many cases, the root cause of operational disruption is not a lack of effort, but a lack of structure.

Organized information management is not just an administrative concern. It is a core business function. When done correctly, it reduces uncertainty, improves decision-making, and strengthens resilience. This article explores how structured data practices can minimize risk and support long-term stability. [Read more…] about Minimizing Operational Hazards by Streamlining Data Organization and Control

Infor launches new AI orchestration tools as research highlights scaling challenges

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

Infor has introduced new capabilities across its AI portfolio, alongside research suggesting many businesses are still struggling to scale artificial intelligence beyond pilot stages.

The company’s April release includes updates to its Infor Velocity Suite and the limited availability of an enhanced Infor Agentic Orchestrator.

The announcement is supported by findings from the Infor Enterprise AI Adoption Impact Index, which surveyed 1,000 business decision-makers across the US, UK, Germany, and France. [Read more…] about Infor launches new AI orchestration tools as research highlights scaling challenges

The Syncora Limited Approach to 24/7 User Support: Why Always-On Service is a Growth Strategy, Not Just a Cost

April 23, 2026 by David Edwards

Support is almost universally treated as a cost center. It sits in the budget as a necessary expense – something to be managed efficiently and kept as lean as possible without visibly breaking the customer experience.

Syncora’s view is that this framing is the first and most consequential mistake a growing business can make about its support function.

When support is designed and operated well, it does not just resolve problems. It builds trust, reduces churn, generates product insight, and creates the kind of reliability that turns first-time users into long-term advocates. How to Add Security Layers to Your Agency Web Hosting Setup

April 23, 2026 by David Edwards

Security breaches do not discriminate by company size, but they disproportionately punish agencies. When a solo site owner gets hacked, one property goes down. When an agency’s hosting setup is compromised, every client site in the portfolio is potentially exposed.

The damage extends beyond technical recovery; it reaches into client contracts, professional reputation, and the long-term viability of the business itself.

The reality is that no single security measure is enough. Attackers probe for weaknesses across every layer of your infrastructure, and a gap anywhere in the chain is an invitation. [Read more…] about How to Add Security Layers to Your Agency Web Hosting Setup

Foxglove launches unified data platform to accelerate physical AI development

April 22, 2026 by David Edwards

Foxglove has launched “Data Search and Curation”, a new set of capabilities that helps robotics teams replace fragmented, manual data workflows with a unified platform to find and curate the mission-critical events, anomalies, and system behavior that matter most across growing volumes of operational data.

The company also expanded the Foxglove Data Platform with Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS), a new self-hosted data lake deployment model allowing customers to maintain full control over data at rest while still providing the benefits of a fully managed database, and a new free Basic Seat tier to expand access to visualization across teams.

As robotics companies scale from prototype to production, the critical path is shifting from generating more data to finding the most essential data quickly enough to debug issues, investigate failures, review safety-critical events, and improve system performance. Neura Robotics and Amazon Web Services enter strategic collaboration to accelerate physical AI at scale

April 21, 2026 by David Edwards

Neura Robotics and Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a strategic agreement to accelerate physical AI at scale – bringing cognitive robots that can perceive, reason, and act alongside humans from development into global deployment.

The collaboration combines Neura’s cognitive robotics platform with AWS’s cloud and AI infrastructure to help train, validate, and deploy the next generation of intelligent robots.

The collaboration tackles one of the most critical challenges of physical AI: while large language models benefit from trillions of data points drawn from the internet, robots have a fraction of that – making real-world training data the key to unlocking the next era of AI.
