EDP tests construction of its first solar park with Comau automation technology

This is the first time worldwide that the technological solution, based on robotics and advanced computing, developed by Comau, has been tested in real installation conditions in an EDP solar park.

EDP, a global company in the renewable energy sector, will test the construction of its first photovoltaic solar park under real life installation conditions on a large scale with the automation technology Hyperflex.

DB Schenker opens giant new automated e-commerce logistics hub in Spain

DB Schenker, a supply chain management and logistics service provider, has started operations at one of the largest automated e-commerce facilities servicing its retail customers in Spain, Portugal and France.

Operations in the 50,000 sq meter state-of-the-art warehouse in Guadalajara have started with 150 employees on newly created jobs, more than 200 robots and an optimized packaging system.

The site is equipped with a Goods-to-Person picking system to handle around 55,000 units per day using Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) provided by Geek+, the global leader in AMR technology. Neubility and Goggo Network partner to develop autonomous logistics solutions

Neubility, a Korean autonomous robot company, and Goggo Network, a European logistic operator of autonomous vehicles and robots, have signed an agreement to “strengthen autonomous logistics solutions based on robots”.

Two enterprises plan to strengthen collaboration in bringing innovation to robot-based logistics services and improving customer experience.

SEAT introduces Effidence autonomous mobile robots at Martorell, Spain plant

European automaker SEAT, which is part of the Volkswagen Group, has introduced two autonomous, collaborative mobile robots that adapt to the needs of employees to help them with tasks such as transporting parts.

The AMRs – called EffiBOTs, originally made by Effidence – have been integrated into the operations at the automaker’s Martorell plant in Spain.

SEAT says the incorporation of the AMRs at the Martorell factory continues the development and implementation of digital tools and solutions to make the facility a smarter, more digitalised and increasingly connected factory. XPO Logistics expands last mile service in Spain to meet increase in online orders of large products

XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transportation and logistics solutions has expanded its last mile service for bulky and heavy goods in Spain, as consumers turn to e-commerce.

Automated driving developer TTTech Auto expands team

TTTech Auto says it has grown its developer team for global customer projects.

After the acquisition of software company Silicon Gears in 2019, TTTech Auto expanded further on the Iberian Peninsula. The Madrid office opened in mid-February and will reinforce development capacities for global customer projects.
