Skyports Drone Services partners with RigiTech to launch inter-island drone deliveries in Korea

Drone airline Skyports Drone Services has launched a new project in Yeosu City, South Korea, for the delivery of pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs by drone. The project will be the first time Skyports Drone Services operates flights with new drone partner RigiTech.

The Yeosu City drone project, supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MoLIT), Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology (KIAST) and Yeosu City government, will provide inter-island drone deliveries within the coastal Yeosu region of Korea.

It is the first of a series of flight trials and proof-of-concept projects conducted by a drone services consortium made up of Skyports Drone Services Korea, Marine Drone Tech and RGB Lab. South Korean robot maker takes part in supermassive Saudi development Neom

Neubility, a South Korean developer of indoor-outdoor autonomous mobile robots, says it will take part in Oxagon X McLaren Accelerator, a global program co-hosted by Oxagon, a futuristic eco-friendly industrial complex in Neom, a massive futuristic property development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and UK supercar maker McLaren.

Neubility qualifies for the program due to its high level of competitiveness in smart locker and last mile delivery among key areas promoted by Oxagon including autonomous mobility and logistics automation.

Selected businesses will be given various benefits including financial aid, networking with global enterprises, presentations, business workshops and mentoring services at McLaren, and pilot tests in Oxagon, the industrial hub of Neom. Thira Robotics launches new generation of autonomous mobile robots

Thira Robotics, a South Korean autonomous mobile robots (AMR) developer and a subsidiary of smart factory solutions leader THiRA UTech, has officially launched in the US market, providing AMR to navigate facility conditions previously not fit for automation.

Thira Robotics offers solutions to healthcare, manufacturing, and supply chain industries to overcome physical barriers to technology adoption. Their launch coincides with Promat 2023, held in Chicago starting March 20th.

Peter Kim, CEO of Thira Robotics, says: “Some plants with poor conditions struggle to integrate AMR successfully. Now, older manufacturers don’t need to remodel to integrate. Cross Company partners with Doosan Robotics

Cross Company, a 100 percent employee-owned industrial technology company, is partnering with Doosan Robotics Americas to bring its collaborative robot (cobot) technology to the south-eastern United States.

Doosan Robotics was founded in South Korea in 2015 and following three years of research and development they developed a range of four cobot models that use their proprietary technology.

Starship Technologies launches robot delivery service at South Dakota State University

Starship Technologies has rolled out its robot food delivery service on the campus of South Dakota State University. SDSU becomes the first campus in the state of South Dakota to implement robot food delivery service.

Starship’s fleet of 30 autonomous, on-demand robots will deliver from three campus eateries to start: Grille Works, Papa Johns and Starbucks. Additional locations will be added soon.

The school’s nearly 14,000 students and faculty can now use the Starship Food Delivery app (iOS and Android) to order food and drinks from local retailers to be delivered anywhere on campus within minutes.
