Apple is investigating a more effective way to train humanoid robots by incorporating human instructors alongside robot demonstrators, a novel combined strategy the company has dubbed “PH2D”, according to a report on Apple Insider.

This development was detailed in a research paper published on Wednesday, just a week after the tech giant unveiled its Matrix3D and StreamBridge AI models, signaling a continued push into artificial intelligence and robotics.

First procedures completed with EndoQuest’s robotic surgery system

EndoQuest Robotics, a developer of endoluminal robotic surgical technology, says it has completed the first procedures of its pivotal clinical trial, Prospective Assessment of a Robotic Assisted Device in Gastrointestinal Medicine (PARADIGM) (Clinicaltrials.gov).

Using EndoQuest’s Endoluminal Surgical (ELS) System, two colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures were completed by Dr Eric Haas, Chief of Colorectal Surgery at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center where the procedures were performed.

Dr Haas is also the Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, the Program Director for Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery at the University of Texas at Houston, and a world-renowned pioneer in robotic colorectal surgery. Automate 2025: North America’s biggest industrial automation event

Automate 2025 – which starts Monday – is North America’s largest robotics and automation event, a key meeting point for professionals in this rapidly evolving field.

Since its beginnings in 1976 as the first “Robots Show”, it has grown and adapted, becoming Automate in 2011 after merging with other industry events. Recognizing the increasing importance of automation, Automate became an annual standalone event in 2022.
