ifm electronic launches new RFID system ‘ideally suited to production line’

April 20, 2020 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

ifm electronic has launched a new RFID system which the company says has long user-adjustable operating range, robust construction and choice of fieldbus interfaces.

ifm adds that the HF RFID systems in the new DTE60x range “are ideally suited to production line applications”.

The new units provide RFID antenna, evaluation electronics and fieldbus interface in a single compact module, which makes them easy to install, even when space is limited. [Read more…] about ifm electronic launches new RFID system ‘ideally suited to production line’

Fetch Robotics launches new system for real-time inventory visualization in warehouses

January 3, 2020 by Sam Francis Leave a Comment

Fetch Robotics, a provider of autonomous mobile robots for warehouses, has launched a new system for real-time inventory visualization.

The company says its new RFID visualization capabilities allow third-party logistics companies, manufacturers and retailers to autonomously capture, and then analyze and visualize inventory data in the cloud.

Fetch added the “new and unique” capabilities to its TagSurveyor technology, a robotic RFID solution that allows customers to gain complete visibility of assets in their fulfillment centers, distribution centers or warehouses via visualization of inventory data on a facility map. Simbe Robotics adds RFID and machine learning capabilities to Tally robot

July 24, 2018 by Anna

Simbe Robotics has integrated Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Machine Learning technology to enable its autonomous inventory robot, Tally, to capture in-store data on all RFID-tagged merchandise, from apparel to electronics, sporting goods to home decor.

In addition to its pre-existing computer vision abilities, Tally now captures over 700 RFID product tags per second with higher than 99% accuracy.

This frees shop workers from using handheld scanning devices and provides retailers with real-time insight into product availability and placement.
