Dürr implementing a CO2-efficient paint shop with cross-plant system integration

Dürr is building a turnkey paint shop for Volkswagen Autoeuropa while simultaneously implementing a comprehensive software solution. The project combines state-of-the-art application and drying technologies designed to maximise CO2 reduction, along with an innovative SCADA integration that unifies three separate paint shops in a single system.

In 2024, a total of 236,100 vehicles – an average of 955 per day rolled off the production line at Volkswagen Autoeuropa. The factory in the Portuguese town of Palmela is currently preparing for future model launches with the addition of a new paint shop and advanced process optimisation software. Large Portuguese building 3D printed in record 9 Days

Portuguese construction 3D printing company Havelar has delivered a public building for the municipality of Matosinhos using construction 3D printing technology.

The project, a 500 m² (5,400 ft²) recycling center office at the Ecocentro de Perafita in Porto, was printed in 9 days on budget using a COBOD BOD2 construction 3D printer operated by a four-person crew.

The project demonstrates the benefits of construction 3D printing for public sector applications. Startup company IAR launches two new robotic automation modules

The IAR Group, formed last autumn, is launching two of its Swiss-developed automation modules in the USA and Portugal.

‘E-logistics’ event Deliver to be held in Amsterdam next year

The fifth annual “e-logistics” – or e-commerce logistics – event Deliver is to be held in Amsterdam next year.

The fourth edition of the Deliver elite series successfully gathered ​1,000 high-level attendees from 40 countries on June 5th and 6th, 2019 in Lisbon, representing a 30 per cent increase compared to the previous edition.

‘Deliver’ event moves on to Lisbon after successful London conference

The third edition of the invite-only and “carbon neutral” Deliver series took place on June 5th and 6th 2018 in London, at Twickenham Stadium, with 750 attendees – a 70 per cent increase compared to the last edition – coming from 35 different countries.

Deliver 2019 will take place on June 5th and 6th 2019 in Lisbon (Estoril Congress Center) and will involve 1,200 attendees.
