The Role of RF Connectors in Robotic Vision, Sensor Communication, and Automated Inspection Systems

June 12, 2026 by Sam Francis

Robotic vision and automated inspection love to dress up as software victories. Fast GPUs. Smart models. Slick dashboards. None of that survives a dirty physical signal path. A camera can’t “compute” its way past a noisy clock.

A sensor can’t “average” its way out of an interface that loosens after ten thousand tiny vibrations. This is where RF connectors stop being accessories and start being governing parts. They decide what reaches the processor, when it arrives, and how cleanly it arrives.

In factories that run through the night, connectors don’t just connect. They decide whether the inspection tells the truth or sells a comforting lie. [Read more…] about The Role of RF Connectors in Robotic Vision, Sensor Communication, and Automated Inspection Systems

Perspective from Harting: The industrial reality check – why factory winners execute, not just innovate

May 22, 2026 by Sam Francis

Rodriques Johnpeter, global industry segment manager, Harting

Manufacturers are operating in a moment where disruption is the norm, not the exception. Supply chain volatility, inflationary pressure and labor constraints all collide with a parallel push to embed automation and AI into plants that were never designed for today’s technologies.

Most facilities – well over two-thirds globally – are still brownfield sites, built around legacy machines, heterogeneous controls and fragile integrations that have been patched together over decades.

These environments leave almost no room for extended downtime or wholesale rip-and-replace projects, which is where many digital transformation strategies quietly break down. [Read more…] about Perspective from Harting: The industrial reality check – why factory winners execute, not just innovate

The Next Era of Manufacturing: Revolutionizing Industries with Automation Technology

March 20, 2026 by Sam Francis

The global industrial landscape is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the rapid convergence of artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, and sophisticated hardware. We are moving far beyond the era of simple mechanization and entering a phase where machines possess the ability to perceive, analyze, and react to their physical surroundings in real time.

This paradigm shift is not just about replacing manual labor; it is about creating highly intelligent, interconnected ecosystems that optimize production, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational safety.

Revolutionizing Industries with Automation Technology requires a holistic approach that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge software algorithms with incredibly robust physical infrastructure. [Read more…] about The Next Era of Manufacturing: Revolutionizing Industries with Automation Technology

Hai Robotics achieves EU cybersecurity compliance for automated warehouse systems

October 27, 2025 by Sam Francis

Hai Robotics has announced that its HaiPick Systems have achieved compliance with the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) Articles 3.3(d), marking an important milestone in strengthening cybersecurity standards for connected warehouse automation systems.

The certification, verified by TÜV SÜD, formally validates that Hai Robotics’ autonomous storage and retrieval solutions meet European regulatory requirements for wireless connectivity and data security.

In an increasingly connected logistics environment, the company says cybersecurity is fundamental to ensuring safe and reliable warehouse operations. Hai Robotics’ HaiPick Systems have long followed strict cybersecurity practices for industrial equipment, and the TÜV SÜD evaluation now formally recognizes that commitment.
