What Impact Does Artificial Intelligence Have on VPN Technology?

November 12, 2022 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Artificial intelligence is no longer the sole domain of science fiction. Machine learning can be found in your cell phone, car, the internet, and the offline world. Machine learning looks for patterns to build the next generation of AI.

Any correct guesses are then recorded. This replication process is repeated until the algorithm is self-sufficient. However, there are drawbacks to this form of educational technology, the most obvious of which are our privacy, security, and individuality.

Artificial intelligence can gather information invisibly and access individuals’ private data worldwide. The wealthy and powerful can exploit AI. Currently, it assists governments in developing innovative strategies for censoring online information. [Read more…] about What Impact Does Artificial Intelligence Have on VPN Technology?

August 1, 2022 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

If you’ve ever used a VPN, you may be familiar with the unfortunate side effect of a slower internet speed. This can be extremely frustrating.

You might’ve installed a VPN to protect your data while you browse the internet, improve your IP security or to unlock streaming capabilities in different countries. Either way, a slow internet speed certainly isn’t what you signed up for.

The good news is that not all VPNs are created equal; some are inherently faster than others. Which ones, you ask? Let’s take a look at which provider offers the fastest VPN of 2022, based on three critical success factors: upload speeds, download speed and latency. July 21, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

All over the world, individuals use virtual private networks (VPNs) to secure their connections to the internet. The encryption protects your activity from prying eyes, allowing you to browse the web with greater anonymity.

Furthermore, a VPN may replace your actual IP address with one from another region, allowing you to access material that would otherwise be. [Read more…] about Key VPN Statistics: What Are the Numbers Telling Us?

New Robotic Cleaning Technology for Shipshape Hulls

February 16, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Technologies never fail to improve, and the new robotic cleaning tech for shipshape hulls proves that! Hull cleaning remains a tough job as ships need to take refuge in ports to perform them. The marine debris accumulated in time damages the hulls and, in extreme cases, can lead to environmental damage.

For example, stricter hull cleaning will increase fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Yet, this is where the Norwegian company Shipshave comes into action with its newest development! [Read more…] about New Robotic Cleaning Technology for Shipshape Hulls

September 24, 2021 by Liv Leave a Comment

This entire pandemic situation got us bounded to online activities. We’ve been pretty much dependent on the security that the online world has offered to us.

July 29, 2021 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Here’s a look at how business owners can protect the webcam system in their restaurant, café, or hotel from hackers.

How to Protect Webcam Systems

These days, webcam surveillance systems are pretty much everywhere. Restaurants, cafés, hotels, and other tourism-related spots now have webcams going 24/7.

Some even broadcast the footage live online. This practice gained a lot of popularity during the pandemic as well, as the hospitality industry suffered. It’s so commonplace now that the practice has become known as taking a “digital staycation”. [Read more…] about How to protect webcam systems

Do you really need to protect yourself online? Yes, you do.

October 21, 2020 by Liv Leave a Comment

The global effect of the pandemic has literally pushed everyone to go digital. When face-to-face interaction posed health risks, everything shifted to the online world. Office spaces became little meeting boxes, business, and personal events were held ‘live’ digitally, and even online payment transactions have skyrocketed over the past months.

With everything moving towards this new space, the lack of the physical component wherein we should be able to see and feel secure has diminished as well. More than ever, it is now that we must also consider looking at how we could protect ourselves online.

A certain documentary revealing how social media works behind what we see on the screen indicated that we had become a commodity. Our online profiles, interactions, and activities were used far more than what we had anticipated.
