Thira Robotics to showcase new AMR at Automate Show

Thira Robotics will showcase its latest autonomous mobile robot technology at the Automate Show, where it will demonstrate how the company “guided global manufacturing, healthcare, and construction leaders in augmenting 24/7 staff services”.

Thira says demand from the market has been “strong” following its US launch in March and says it plans to show how triple safety systems overcome obstacles of first-generation AMRs.

Veo Robotics launches ‘new and improved’ safeguarding system for human-robot collaboration

Veo Robotics, the industrial automation company that created FreeMove, a 3D safeguarding system for industrial robots that enables dynamic human-robot collaboration, has released its new and improved FreeMove 2.0 Engine. 

The redesigned FreeMove 2.0 Engine is a high-performance industrial computer with a proprietary safety architecture that works alongside FreeMove Sensors to monitor workcells in 3D. It implements dynamic Speed and Separation Monitoring to enable safe interaction between humans and robots.

634AI, the developers of Maestro, an AI-enabled control tower for streamlining the management of industrial indoor mobility, has agreed a collaboration with InOrbit, a cloud-based management platform for robot operations at scale.

Omron opens new automation center in Tokyo

Industrial automation giant Omron has opened a new automation center in Shinagawa, Tokyo.

The facility, dubbed an “ATC”, is designed for customers to work with Omron to find solutions to their manufacturing issues.

The 37th ATC facility in the world, ATC-Tokyo is Omron’s flagship factory automation technology center, where model production floors are built within the world’s largest ATC facility to allow customers to experience and test state-of-the-art factory automation that integrates artificial intelligence, internet of things, robotics, and other cutting-edge technologies. Mitsubishi Electric Automation has released a new range of its MELIPC Series industrial-use computers for data computing, edge computing, remote monitoring, and the integration of hardware and software technologies.

The MELIPC Series is targeted towards original equipment manufacturers and end users running general manufacturing applications, and especially those who require a computing and data monitoring solution that takes up a limited amount of space with a small footprint.

There’s quite a few robotic floor cleaning devices already on the market, but there’s plenty of room for more. 

While the companies currently supplying robotic mops and vacuum cleaners have made a lot of money with them, the market is far from crowded.
