Quasi Cloud Connect Simplifies Mobile Robots Control

February 10, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Quasi Robotics, based in the tech hub of Frederick, Maryland, is a leading robotics and artificial intelligence company providing mobile automation solutions for laboratory, healthcare, warehousing, and manufacturing businesses alike.

The robotic process automation offered by Quasi combines a trio of elements: the proprietary intelligence suite Qai, which powers the operations of two autonomous mobile robots – Model R2 and Model C2 – all managed through an integrated, user-friendly, all-encompassing, mobile robot platform, Cloud Connect. Roeq debuts new cart system for 130 kg-payload Omron autonomous mobile robot

May 5, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Roeq, a developer of mobile robotic equipment, is continuing its product line expansion, with a stated aim of “turning autonomous mobile robots into powerful, flexible, multi-tasking workers”.

At Automate 2023, the company is planning to debut the Roeq TMC130 solution: a top module and cart system for the Omron LD-90x that increases payload from 90 kg (198 lb) up to 130 kg (287 lb).

Developed in collaboration with Omron, the TMC130 solution expands options for customers to safely and reliably use the compact LD-90x robot for higher payload missions, even where space is constrained. [Read more…] about Roeq debuts new cart system for 130 kg-payload Omron autonomous mobile robot

ROEQ doubles capacity of Omron robot with newly designed cart system

September 30, 2022 by Mark Allinson

Businesses implementing the Omron LD-250 autonomous mobile robot (AMR) now have a powerful new option to dramatically increase payload without having to invest in a larger, more expensive AMR solution.

The ROEQ solution with the new TMC500 top module and Cart500 developed for the Omron LD-250, not only doubles the AMR payload, it also provides a standardized, safe, and flexible solution for internal logistics tasks.

Kyle Hable, group product manager, Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies, says: “This exciting new relationship with ROEQ gives our customers access to fast and cost-effective options for their toughest mobile automation initiatives. New cart from Roeq ‘doubles payload’ of autonomous mobile robots

February 24, 2022 by David Edwards

A new cart solution developed by Roeq will double the payload of autonomous mobile robots from Mobile Industrial Robots.

Roeq says it followed the principle of “Doing more with less” because this is what users of the MiR250 mobile robot will realize with its new Roeq TMS-C500 Ext and S-Cart500 Ext.

As the product name indicates, the new top module/cart combo enables the robot to carry up to 500 kg payload (1102 lbs), effectively doubling the payload of MiR’s best-selling AMR. [Read more…] about New cart from Roeq ‘doubles payload’ of autonomous mobile robots

4 Benefits of Having a One Step Checkout

February 3, 2022 by Mark Allinson

Regardless of the quality of your products and services, if your website has a clunky checkout page that customers find hard to navigate, you will find it much harder to generate sales.

The reason why? The checkout page is the most important element of any e-commerce site, and customers want a streamlined experience that allows them to purchase products quickly and easily.

If it’s littered with glitches and hurdles, the more likely a shopper will succumb to cart abandonment and look elsewhere, which is the last thing you want. [Read more…] about 4 Benefits of Having a One Step Checkout

Waypoint launches Kingpin lift and hitch top module for its warehouse robots

June 5, 2020 by David Edwards

Waypoint Robotics has launched a top module that enables the company’s omnidirectional warehouse robots to automatically load and unload payloads and connect to a variety of carts for material movement.

The module is called “Kingpin” and Waypoint says it enables its Vector robot – a 600 lb payload capacity AMR – to do two critical jobs with one simple top module, as opposed to having a dedicated fleet of lift deck robots for automatic load/unload, and another dedicated fleet of cart connecting robots for cart transport.

With Kingpin, Vector can automatically pick up a tote on one side of the factory, deliver it to the other side of the factory, and then connect to a cart on the way back to the starting point. [Read more…] about Waypoint launches Kingpin lift and hitch top module for its warehouse robots

ROEQ launches ‘world’s most precise’ docking station for Mobile Industrial Robots

September 13, 2019 by David Edwards

ROEQ claims to have launched the “world’s most precise docking station for Mobile Industrial Robots”.

The new docking station’s ± 1mm repeatability ensures precise delivery of products and pallets carried by the autonomous mobile robots from Mobile Industrial Robots equipped with ROEQ’s cart solution.

The company unveiled its new product at Pack Expo, which is also the first chance to see ROEQ’s new TR1000 Top Roller live – a unique new conveyor top module for MiR1000, the largest model from Mobile Industrial Robots with up to 1,000 kilo payloads. Sony and Docomo to test driverless concept vehicle via 5G trial network in Guam

April 25, 2019 by Anna

Sony Corporation and NTT Docomo, Inc. will jointly trial Sony’s conceptual driverless vehicle, the New Concept Cart SC-1, which uses 5G mobile technologies for various remotely controlled functions.

The test will be conducted using the trial network in Docomo 5G Open Lab Guam, which will provide test facilities and an outdoor verification environment constructed by Docomo.

The test will verify data transmission and operational performance required to remotely control the cart from a long distance via the extra-high speed, large capacity, low latency and massive-device connectivity.
