Palantir and Divergent partner to ‘revolutionize’ on-demand advanced manufacturing

Palantir Technologies and Divergent Technologies have agreed a strategic partnership to provide access to Divergent’s advanced manufacturing capabilities via Palantir’s software platform. 

The collaboration will bring digitally manufactured parts to Palantir’s Warp Speed and Foundry customers on-demand.

AMD to sell its ZT Systems server manufacturing business to Sanmina for $3 billion

AMD, one of the world’s largest semiconductor companies, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell ZT Systems’ US-headquartered data center infrastructure manufacturing business to Sanmina, an integrated manufacturing solutions company.

As part of the transaction, Sanmina becomes a preferred new product introduction (NPI) manufacturing partner for AMD cloud rack and cluster-scale AI solutions.

ABB’s PixelPaint brings ‘exclusive and sustainable paint finishes’ to Mercedes-Benz plant

ABB’s innovative PixelPaint technology has been implemented at the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant in Germany, where it complements the site’s conventional painting processes by enabling the precise and efficient application of intricate paint designs.

The sustainable and resource-saving technology began operation in 2025 as the luxury manufacturer develops new personalized options for its most exclusive models.

Smart manufacturing delivers ‘20 percent productivity gains’, but challenges remain, says Deloitte

Smart manufacturing is delivering measurable value, with manufacturers reporting productivity gains of up to 20 percent in both production output and workforce efficiency, according to a new report from Deloitte.

PPG to invest $380 million to build new US manufacturing facility

PPG says it will invest $380 million to build a new aerospace coatings and sealants manufacturing facility in Shelby, North Carolina Construction on the 62-acre site, which will initially include manufacturing and warehousing units, is set to commence in October 2025 and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027.

The 198,000-square-foot facility will enable the company to continue meeting the growing demands of the aerospace industry. It will employ more than 110 people and produce the full line of PPG’s aerospace coatings and sealants.

MRCA launches new business unit to support US manufacturers

An unusual organization called the Manufacturing Revitalization Corporation of America (MRCA) has launched a new business unit to better support its ever-growing manufacturing of consumer products in the USA.

The MRCA is not a government organization but works with manufacturers across the US to support them through knowledge-sharing and other initiatives.

This announcement is coupled with the acquisition of three direct-to-consumer (DTC) and e-commerce brands whose products will be made in MRCA facilities. Techman Robotics, CSBC and AMET to jointly develop welding solutions for shipbuilding

Taiwan’s leading collaborative robot manufacturer Techman Robot, Taiwan’s largest shipbuilding company Taiwan International Shipbuilding (CSBC), and the US leader in smart welding technology AMET, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Trump reverses $13 million cuts to manufacturing support program after backlash
