Healey-Driscoll Administration awards almost $4 million to 23 Massachusetts manufacturing companies

The Healey-Driscoll administration and Massachusetts Technology Collaborative’s (MassTech) Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) have awarded a total of $3,797,592 million to support 23 manufacturing companies statewide.

The grants were provided through the Massachusetts Manufacturing Accelerate Program (MMAP), a statewide initiative that helps small- and medium-sized manufacturers invest in new technologies to meet increased customer demand and enhance overall capabilities. GM reports ‘robust first quarter’ in sales growth in China, driven by electric vehicles

General Motors and its joint ventures delivered over 442,000 vehicles in China during the first quarter of 2025, marking a year-over-year sales increase and the third consecutive quarter of market share growth.​

Sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) – encompassing battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) – rose by 53.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

Cimcorp partners with Murata to enter the EV battery manufacturing market

Cimcorp, a specialist in intralogistics automation, is targeting the electric vehicle battery-manufacturing sector, as the global group continues to grow.

The launch into this new market is being made in partnership with Cimcorp’s parent company, Murata Machinery, and sister company, AGVE – an AGV supplier, headquartered in Sweden and with operations worldwide.

Nvidia to manufacture its AI supercomputers in the US for the first time

Nvidia says it will manufacture its AI supercomputers in the United States for the first time, working with a network of partners to expand domestic production and strengthen its supply chain.

The company has commissioned more than a million square feet of manufacturing space in Arizona and Texas to support the initiative.

Boeing faces turbulence as China halts deliveries in retaliation for US tariffs

Coca-Cola invests $15 million in Malawi production line with AI technology

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), the continent’s largest bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company, has announced a $14.9 million investment in a new high-tech production line at its facility in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The upgrade, implemented through its local subsidiary Coca-Cola Beverages Malawi (CCBM), significantly boosts the company’s production capacity.
