Siemens launches AI engineering agent to automate PLC coding and industrial workflows

April 20, 2026 by David Edwards

Siemens has launched the Eigen Engineering Agent, its purpose-built AI for automation engineering, now generally available.

The Eigen Engineering Agent represents a new class of industrial AI product: one that no longer just generates suggestions but instead uses multi-step reasoning and self-correction to carry out tasks autonomously.

Unlike generic AI tools, the Eigen Engineering Agent operates inside real engineering systems, with full awareness of each project’s context and constraints. [Read more…] about Siemens launches AI engineering agent to automate PLC coding and industrial workflows

From Site Projects to Portfolio Programs: How Industrial Operators Are Rethinking Energy Strategy

April 17, 2026 by David Edwards

For operators managing a handful of facilities, site-by-site energy management is workable. Each plant has its engineer, its utility contracts, and its own set of improvement projects.

The system is imperfect, but it functions well enough to keep the lights on and costs roughly in check.

Scale that to 20, 50, or 100 sites, and the math stops working. What passes for a strategy at a single facility becomes a liability across a portfolio. [Read more…] about From Site Projects to Portfolio Programs: How Industrial Operators Are Rethinking Energy Strategy

Path Robotics unveils mobile robotic welding system combining AI and quadruped mobility

April 16, 2026 by David Edwards

Path Robotics, a developer of physical AI for manufacturing, has announced the launch of Rove, a mobile robotic welding system that pairs the company’s Obsidian physical AI model with a quadruped robot.

The launch marks a major expansion for Path Robotics – where Obsidian already delivers autonomous, adaptive welding inside fixed cells, Rove extends that capability to the field, bringing intelligent welding to the part rather than the part to the workpiece.

Shipbuilding, heavy construction, and large-scale fabrication face a shared constraint: massive assemblies, inconsistent fit-up, and workpieces that cannot be moved, let alone fixtured inside of a welding cell. How AI is powering the next generation of robots – insights from a leading global conference

April 16, 2026 by David Edwards

The 2026 Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR), which annually unveils the latest research in support of artificial intelligence (AI), embodied AI and robotics, multi-modal AI, wearable AI, spatial computing, AI agents, and much more, will serve as one of the foremost forums to showcase how advances in AI are accelerating next-gen robotics from concept to real-world deployment.

Co-sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society (CS) and the Computer Vision Foundation (CVF), CVPR, an annual launchpad for breakthroughs in AI, and this year for robotics, will convene the leading research, companies, and applications redefining what robots can see, understand, and do.

Through its program, CVPR 2026, which takes place 3-7 June at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, USA, will reveal how AI is fueling rapid innovation in robotics, automation, and embodied intelligence. The Role of an Offset Striking Wrench in Modern Robotics

April 16, 2026 by David Edwards

Modern robotics is often associated with advanced software, artificial intelligence, and precision automation. However, behind every robotic system lies a foundation of mechanical engineering, where robust tools still play a critical role.

Among these tools, the offset striking wrench stands out as an essential instrument in assembly, maintenance, and heavy-duty robotic applications. [Read more…] about The Role of an Offset Striking Wrench in Modern Robotics

How Modern Pickup Trucks Are Evolving with Smarter Performance Technology

April 15, 2026 by David Edwards

Pickup trucks are not just known for big engines, how much they can tow, or their tough build anymore. Now, many companies in the auto world are making trucks better by adding smart features. They are also changing how trucks are made so they work better and can do more.

The move shows that what drivers want is changing. People now look for trucks that can do many things, feel good to drive, have the latest features, and act in a smart way on the road.

If you want to know how to buy a new toyota tacoma in san antonio, you will see that modern trucks now give you more than just strength. They are made to last, and they come with systems built in to help you handle the truck better, use less fuel, and make it work for many kinds of roads. How Computer Vision Libraries Are Used in Real Life

April 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

If you stop and think about it for a second, it’s kind of wild how much the world has changed. Not long ago, computers were terrible at understanding images. Show them a photo, and all they saw was a grid of numbers. No meaning, no context – just data.

Now? That same machine can look at a video feed and tell you what’s happening in real time. It can pick out faces, track movement, read text, and even flag unusual behavior. And the interesting part is, most of this isn’t happening in some futuristic lab. It’s already woven into everyday systems.

A big reason behind that shift is the rise of tools like the computer vision library. These aren’t just technical add-ons. They’re what make it possible to turn raw visuals into something useful without building everything from scratch. [Read more…] about How Computer Vision Libraries Are Used in Real Life

Brick Making Machines: Guide for Efficient and Scalable Production

April 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

Most people who get into brick production already know the basics, but it’s the details that determine whether your operation runs smoothly or constantly falls behind.

Getting the right brick making machine for your setup is one of those decisions that ripples through everything else, from how consistent your output is to how much you’re spending on labor each month.

This guide breaks down what today’s machines can actually do, what to look for when choosing one, and how to scale production without running into the common pitfalls. [Read more…] about Brick Making Machines: Guide for Efficient and Scalable Production

Stainless Steel Filter Cartridges: Benefits, Applications, and Selection Tips

April 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

When a batch gets rejected or a line goes down because of contamination, the conversation about filtration gets very serious very fast.

In industries like pharmaceuticals, food processing, oil refining, and automotive manufacturing, the stainless steel filter cartridge has become the default answer to that problem, and for good reason.

This article walks through how they’re built, why they consistently outperform the alternatives, and what you actually need to know before choosing one for your operation. [Read more…] about Stainless Steel Filter Cartridges: Benefits, Applications, and Selection Tips

Top 10 Magnetic Cable Connectors for Consumer Electronics

April 14, 2026 by Sam Francis

My friend broke his laptop port twice in one year. Both times, someone walked past his desk and caught the cable. After the second one, he finally switched to a magnetic connector, and that was two years ago. No issues since.

That’s probably the most honest explanation of why these things exist. They solve a genuinely annoying, genuinely expensive problem that anyone using a laptop at a desk has probably run into. The cable gets snagged, the connector pops free, and nothing bad happens.

This piece covers what actually separates quality Magnetic Cable Connectors from frustrating ones, and which brands have figured it out, including Promax, the precision connector manufacturer that’s become the go-to name for reliability.
