How Tesla-Style Displays Are Changing Work Trucks

October 3, 2025 by David Edwards

In the past, pickup trucks like the Ford F-350 were celebrated primarily for their raw power and towing capacity. They were built to haul heavy loads, conquer job sites, and last for hundreds of thousands of miles.

But today, these same trucks are finding themselves at the crossroads of utility and automation. Increasingly, owners are looking beyond horsepower and payloads – they want technology that matches modern expectations of connectivity, convenience, and smart systems.

One of the fastest-growing trends in this space is the integration of large, Tesla-inspired infotainment displays. Drivers are turning to solutions such as an aftermarket Tesla display for Ford F350, which retrofit legacy vehicles with futuristic touchscreens that rival what’s found in today’s newest models. Formula 1 racing organizer selects Siemens as official digital twin sponsor

September 14, 2025 by Sam Francis

Siemens Digital Industries Software has been selected by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) as “Official Digital Twin Sponsor”, as the global governing body for motor sport and federation for mobility organizations worldwide expands its use of Siemens software.

The FIA, which has welcomed Siemens into its new Global Partnership Programme, will extend its use of software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to create and refine the aerodynamic concepts that shape the regulations for single-seater race cars, from Formula 1 through to Formula 4.

Using Siemens’ Designcenter NX software, the FIA can design complex vehicle models, visualise them in lifelike detail, and iterate digitally before running computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations on the model. Apple ‘tabletop robot’ rumored for 2027: Is this a turning point – or yet more hype?

August 14, 2025 by Mai Tao

A spate of new rumors and leaks suggest that iPhone and Mac behemoth Apple is preparing for a new chapter in its history, shifting from decades of producing stationary devices paired with proprietary software to developing machines that move, sense, and possibly run on more open platforms.

According to Bloomberg, the first step in this shift could be a “tabletop robot” expected to launch in 2027 – a device resembling an iPad-like display on a movable arm, designed to track users, interact more naturally, and showcase Apple’s next-generation AI assistant.

It’s designed to act like “a person in a room”, complete with a more conversational Siri variant and visual personality (for example, animated Finder logo) to enhance interaction. [Read more…] about Apple ‘tabletop robot’ rumored for 2027: Is this a turning point – or yet more hype?
