Embark Trucks completes autonomous vehicle testing in snowy conditions

July 26, 2022 by David Edwards

Embark Trucks, a developer of autonomous technology for the trucking industry, says it has successfully completed on-road testing in snowy conditions in Montana, USA.

The testing, which Embark announced earlier this year, was conducted to demonstrate the performance and safety of Embark’s patent-pending Vision Map Fusion (VMF) technology in geographies that experience severe winter weather.

Results from the testing demonstrate that in approximately 90 percent of runs through the snowy conditions under study – which could result in delays for HD map-based autonomous driving systems – VMF should operate successfully, or pause and resume travel within acceptable shipper delivery windows. Miso Robotics partners with Amazon to test robots at scale

June 15, 2022 by David Edwards

Miso Robotics, which builds robotic solutions for the restaurant industry, is working with Amazon Web Services to begin testing the software powering its Flippy 2 and Flippy Lite robots using AWS RoboMaker.

The move to AWS RoboMaker is projected to allow Miso to run up to fifty simulations at once and will help the company turn future prototypes into functional products at a much quicker rate.

Chris Kruger, CTO of Miso Robotics, says: “Integrating into AWS RoboMaker has been a gamechanger for us to scale our products and make sure the software and its updates are ready to deploy with units in the field. [Read more…] about Miso Robotics partners with Amazon to test robots at scale

Network Penetration Testing: What, Why, and Benefits

April 20, 2022 by David Edwards

Businesses rely on their networks to store and share confidential information. Networks can be penetrated by malicious actors who are looking to exploit this data for personal gain.

That’s why it’s important for businesses to perform network penetration testing regularly – to identify any vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers.

In this article, we will discuss what network penetration testing is, why you need it, and the benefits of performing a network penetration test. [Read more…] about Network Penetration Testing: What, Why, and Benefits

What Can You Learn from Software Testing?

March 12, 2022 by David Edwards

computer programming code

Software Testing is a crucial element of any software development project and it should not be overlooked.

In this blog, I will detail some of the key takeaways from my research and practice as a software tester, in hopes of giving you some real insight into the benefits and pitfalls of software testing.

I don’t think the word “testing” accurately reflects what testers do. I prefer to use the word “assurance”. [Read more…] about What Can You Learn from Software Testing?
