Robots and AI are tackling some of the biggest challenges in construction

March 17, 2026 by Sam Francis

Each year, the construction industry builds $2.1 trillion worth of structures in the US, and more than three-quarters of those projects face delays, according to the Associated General Contractors of America.

One solution could be robots.

Virginia Tech researchers, in collaboration with Procon Consulting, are developing a coordinated team of robots, drones, and technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) sensing and computer vision designed to enable continuous, remote monitoring of construction sites. DHL deploys SVT Robotics platform to integrate warehouse robots up to ‘12 times faster’

March 17, 2026 by Sam Francis

DHL Supply Chain, one of the world’s leading contract logistics providers, announced the deployment of SVT Robotics’ SoftBot platform across its global warehouse network.

With more than 8,000 collaborative robots already active across its global operations, the new plug-and-play platform allows DHL to deploy robotics integrations up to 12 times faster than traditional custom coding setups, setting the stage for the logistics giant to fast-track future automation rollouts.

Prior to implementing the technology-neutral software, automation projects required separate custom coding for every new technology, taking up to six to eight weeks to initiate new solutions. This made enterprise-wide rollouts and upgrades slow and costly. [Read more…] about DHL deploys SVT Robotics platform to integrate warehouse robots up to ‘12 times faster’

What KYC Requirements Financial Institutions Must Follow

March 17, 2026 by Sam Francis

Financial institutions are subject to strict regulations to identify their customers. These regulations, better known as Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines, are designed to mitigate fraud and illicit activities.

Follow the rules correctly, and it is possible to have safer transactions that will help in creating trust between both service providers and account holders. Both financial organizations and their clients need to understand these standards. [Read more…] about What KYC Requirements Financial Institutions Must Follow

BlueBotics bridges the gap between AGVs and AMRs with the launch of SmartPass

March 17, 2026 by Sam Francis

Autonomous navigation and fleet management leader BlueBotics has launched SmartPass, a new efficiency-driving innovation within its ANT software suite.

Available immediately for “ANT driven” AGVs and AMRs, SmartPass is a robust, safe, and highly configurable technology that meets the core efficiency goal of obstacle avoidance without the drawbacks of traditional AMRs. SmartPass suits all types of automated vehicles and industrial sites.

“No matter how clean a site, and how well trained its staff, the paths of mobile robots sometimes become blocked,” said BlueBotics’ CEO, Dr Nicola Tomatis. “AGVs typically manage this situation by sending an alarm to an operator, while AMRs take any route possible, without limitation. The first can lead to transport delays, the second to traffic deadlocks. SmartPass effectively bridges the gap between the two.” [Read more…] about BlueBotics bridges the gap between AGVs and AMRs with the launch of SmartPass
