AutoFlight completes first 2-ton-class eVTOL tea delivery in China

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

AutoFlight has successfully completed China’s first 2-ton-class eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) dedicated spring tea transport trial in Guizhou, a mountainous province in western China.

The trial deployed AutoFlight’s CarryAll (V2000CG) – a fully autonomous, unmanned eVTOL aircraft – to transport fresh spring tea between Anshun and Guiyang, two Guizhou cities approximately 120 km apart.

The unmanned flight crossed rugged mountain terrain in just 37 minutes, a significant improvement over road transportation in the region, where winding mountain routes make timely delivery a persistent challenge. [Read more…] about AutoFlight completes first 2-ton-class eVTOL tea delivery in China

Dubai air taxis prepare for lift-off: World’s first commercial vertiport reaches technical completion

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Skyports Infrastructure (Skyports) have announced that the world’s first commercial vertiport situated by Dubai International Airport has reached technical completion, and is now ready to handle electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. (See video below.)

To mark the milestone, a full tour and demonstration of the vertiport was provided to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, including a simulation of the future passenger experience and a look behind the scenes at how electric air taxi operations would function in practice. PAL Robotics to debut new manipulation robot at ICRA 2026

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

PAL Robotics is set to unveil a new robotic platform at the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2026), where the company will also showcase its latest systems through live, interactive demonstrations.

The event will take place in Vienna, Austria, from June 1 to 5, bringing together researchers, engineers, and industry leaders from across the global robotics sector.

PAL Robotics says its focus this year is on demonstrating how robots can move from research environments into real-world applications. At booth 067, visitors will be able to interact directly with robotic systems rather than simply observe them. [Read more…] about PAL Robotics to debut new manipulation robot at ICRA 2026

Kollmorgen launches layout analysis tool to improve mobile robot performance

April 24, 2026 by David Edwards

Kollmorgen has introduced a new software tool designed to help companies plan and optimize the movement of automated vehicles and mobile robots inside factories and warehouses.

Called the NDC Layout Assistant, the tool is aimed at improving how routes are designed for automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots. (NDC stands for Navigation and Driving Control.)

These machines typically move materials around facilities such as distribution centers, factories, and logistics hubs. [Read more…] about Kollmorgen launches layout analysis tool to improve mobile robot performance

From Disruption to Stability: How Cortessia Limited Helps Growing Platforms Scale Without Breaking

April 23, 2026 by David Edwards

Most platforms don’t fail because they grew too fast. According to the pattern Cortessia Limited observes across the teams it advises, they fail because they grew unevenly – with product moving at Formula 1 speed while operations, documentation, and decision rights stayed at bicycle pace.

Cortessia Limited finds that this uneven growth, not raw velocity, is what creates the hairline fractures scaling platforms spend years trying to repair.

The scaling stage isn’t a finish line. It’s a translation problem – converting what worked at 10,000 users into something that can work at 1,000,000 without exhausting the people who built it. The Syncora Limited Approach to 24/7 User Support: Why Always-On Service is a Growth Strategy, Not Just a Cost

April 23, 2026 by David Edwards

Support is almost universally treated as a cost center. It sits in the budget as a necessary expense – something to be managed efficiently and kept as lean as possible without visibly breaking the customer experience.

Syncora’s view is that this framing is the first and most consequential mistake a growing business can make about its support function.

When support is designed and operated well, it does not just resolve problems. It builds trust, reduces churn, generates product insight, and creates the kind of reliability that turns first-time users into long-term advocates. How to Add Security Layers to Your Agency Web Hosting Setup

April 23, 2026 by David Edwards

Security breaches do not discriminate by company size, but they disproportionately punish agencies. When a solo site owner gets hacked, one property goes down. When an agency’s hosting setup is compromised, every client site in the portfolio is potentially exposed.

The damage extends beyond technical recovery; it reaches into client contracts, professional reputation, and the long-term viability of the business itself.

The reality is that no single security measure is enough. Attackers probe for weaknesses across every layer of your infrastructure, and a gap anywhere in the chain is an invitation. [Read more…] about How to Add Security Layers to Your Agency Web Hosting Setup
