The Shift from One-Size-Fits-All to Bespoke Systems

June 22, 2026 by Sam Francis

For anyone who has been running a business for years, they know that they were told that standard solutions were the smartest path forward!

Is this the truth, though? Businesses are told to buy the same software that everyone else is using, along with following the same processes, and make sure to fit their operations into a predetermined mold.

On the surface, this approach appears to be practical, easy to manage, and affordable. However, we must remember that industries are continuously evolving and customer expectations are continuously growing. What this means is that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Robotronic and Mitsubishi Electric launch high-speed pharma palletising system

April 8, 2026 by Sam Francis

A long-standing automation partnership between a Swiss machine builder and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial robots is aiming to help transform the pharmaceutical supply chain in Europe with the launch of what is believed to be the ‘smallest’ automated palletising cell for vials and pre-filled syringes.

Swiss-based Robotronic has partnered with Mitsubishi Electric’s Factory Automation EMEA division for more than two decades.

Now, the two organisations are collaborating together on a new low-footprint cell to help the pharmaceutical industry overcome record-high shortages across Europe in recent years for medicines ranging from children’s cough syrups through to antibiotics and even cancer treatments. Techman Robot and Tesollo unveil adaptive robotic gripper solution for high-mix manufacturing

March 7, 2026 by David Edwards

Techman Robot Korea, the South Korean subsidiary of global collaborative robot company Techman Robot headquartered in Taiwan, and Tesollo, a South Korean specialist in robotic grippers, will present an articulated, multi-jointed gripper-based automation solution optimized for high-mix, low-volume production environments at the 2026 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition (Automation World).

Following last year’s teleoperation demo combining a humanoid robot hand and a TM robot arm, the two companies have shifted this year’s exhibition concept to a process-oriented solution that can be directly deployed in industrial sites.

The core of this collaboration is to implement flexible automation required on real manufacturing lines by combining the industrial reliability of collaborative robots with the shape-adaptive grasping technology of articulated grippers.
