Techman unveils ‘industry’s lightest high-payload AI collaborative robot’

March 24, 2023 by Mai Tao

Techman Robot has released its TM20 robotic arm, which it describes as “the industry’s lightest high-payload AI collaborative robot”, adding that the machine “redefines collaborative robotics with next generation AI”.

Despite being very light, the TM20’s high payload capacity makes it the “ideal solution” for heavy-duty AMR (autonomous mobile robot) applications.

Extending Techman’s cobot product range to even higher payloads, TM20 only weighs 32.8 kg, but carries up to 20 kg and has a reach of 1,300 mm with six rotation joints. [Read more…] about Techman unveils ‘industry’s lightest high-payload AI collaborative robot’

Security robots ‘deter crime and minimize risk’, says Knightscope

March 23, 2023 by Mark Allinson

The concept of automated policing began as a science fiction concept years ago, but today it is “real and impactful”, according to security robotics specialist Knightscope.

The sophistication of robot-powered security is even more interesting than sci-fi to Stacy Stephens, the co-founder and chief client officer of Knightscope.

Launched in 2013, the Mountain View, California, public safety technology services company was the first in the world to deploy mobile, fully autonomous security robots (ASRs) in public spaces such as malls, parking lots and neighborhood parks. Smart Robotics launches new robotic mixed case palletizer

March 23, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Smart Robotics, a warehouse robotics and automation specialist, has launched its Smart Mixed Case Palletizer, an industrial robot pick and place station.

Smart Robotics says the system is designed to improve warehouse delivery speed by removing one of the biggest bottlenecks – manual palletizing of mixed products or stock-keeping units (SKUs).

By using warehouse automation, the robot enables another step towards touchless shipping and allows large distribution centres to pre-sort to multiple destinations without increasing full-time equivalent employees (FTEs) in shipping. Robotize to launch new robot and mobile lift staton at LogiMAT

March 22, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Robotize, a provider of autonomous mobile robots for internal pallet transport, will be presenting a new robot as well as a new mobile lift station at this year’s LogiMAT exhibition.

The new GoPal E22 AMR supports a payload of up to 500 kg and will become the smallest robot in Robotize’s range of AMRs, which includes the GoPal E24 (1,000 kg) and the GoPal E24W/U24W (1,200 kg).

Anders Pjetursson, CEO at Robotize, says: “We have received many requests for an updated entry-level AMR, and we believe that the GoPal E22 is the perfect entry point for manufacturers and warehouses looking to move into the future of automated pallet transportation. Underwater robots market set to expand at 14 percent a year

March 18, 2023 by Mark Allinson

The market for underwater robots is expected to reach a value of $1.2 billion in 2023 and $4.3 billion by the end of 2033, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 13.7 percent.

This is according to a new report, Underwater Robots Market, published by Fact.MR.

Some of the deep and difficult-to-reach areas of the ocean are explored by an underwater robot. Underwater robots have cameras and lights that give them vision in the dark ocean and make it simple for them to communicate with the operator.

Although there are many uses for underwater robots and they are still in the early stages of market exploration, their production, operation, and maintenance costs are high. In order to prevent any accidents, it also needs trained professionals. [Read more…] about Underwater robots market set to expand at 14 percent a year
