ANYbotics raises $50 million in Series B investment

ANYbotics, a Swiss robotics startup specialising in four-legged mobile robots, have raised $50 million in Series B investment.

The funding round was led by international deep tech investors Walden Catalyst and NGP Capital with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Aramco Ventures, Swisscom Ventures, Swisscanto Private Equity, and other existing investors.

Google’s industrial robotics business unit Intrinsic chooses Comau as first project partner

Comau, a specialist maker of industrial robotics and automation products and systems, has been unveiled as the first industry partner of Intrinsic, a business unit of Alphabet, which is the stock market name for Google.

Intrinsic says it is on a mission to make industrial robotics accessible and usable for millions more businesses, entrepreneurs, and developers.

At the launch presentation, Pietro Gorlier, Comau’s CEO, demonstrated how the company has recently used Intrinsic’s new Flowstate developer product and underlying platform to create a modular solution to enable the assembly of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) supermodule – just one of many possibilities for new applications made possible through the platform. Denali becomes Universal Robots’ biggest Certified Solution Partner

Denali Advanced Integration has become Universal Robots’ biggest Certified Solution Partner.

Denali is now expected to use its integration expertise and market reach to bring Universal Robots’ collaborative robot technology to major business across the globe as part of its new Automation-As-A-Service (AaaS) portfolio, which it announced in April.

BlueBotics and ProLog Automation partner to drive German AGV adoption

BlueBotics and ProLog Automation have signed a strategic partnership to help drive the adoption of automated guided vehicles (AGV/FTS) across the German manufacturing and logistics sectors.

This agreement positions ProLog Automation as a key BlueBotics solutions partner for the German market.

Under the terms of the agreement, ProLog’s AGV consulting and integration teams will undergo extensive training by BlueBotics’ engineers on the company’s Autonomous Navigation Technology (ANT), a predominantly software-based platform on which companies can build robust, scalable, and even interoperable fleets of diverse ‘ANT driven’ vehicles. Uber Eats and Cartken expand sidewalk robot deliveries to Virginia

Building on a successful pilot of autonomous deliveries in Miami, Florida, Uber Technologies and Cartken, an AI-powered robotics company, are expanding their partnership to include food deliveries via automated robots in Fairfax, Virginia.

Uber Eats consumers at Mosaic District will have the opportunity to have orders delivered by Cartken’s self-driving robot.

Starting today, Uber and Cartken will begin operating with select merchants at Mosaic District, a shopping and dining district owned and operated by EDENS. Ambi Robotics and OSM partner to automate parcel sortation systems

Ambi Robotics, a provider of AI-powered robotic solutions for parcel sorting operations, has agreed a commercial partnership with OSM Worldwide, a global parcel and logistics services company.

Under the partnership, Ambi Robotics will deploy its flagship AmbiSort A-Series system to OSM Worldwide’s warehouse locations in Atlanta, Chicago, and Las Vegas in a minimum four-year Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) agreement.

Core Industrial Partners acquires GEM Manufacturing

Core Industrial Partners, a manufacturing, industrial technology, and industrial services-focused private equity firm, has acquired GEM Manufacturing, a provider of precision deep drawn metal components and mechanical assemblies.

GEM represents the fifth platform investment in Core Industrial Partners Fund II, a $465 million fund closed in February 2021.
