Serve Robotics saddles up for autonomous delivery in Dallas-Fort Worth via Uber Eats

Serve Robotics, a provider of autonomous sidewalk delivery solutions, has launched its service in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.

This strategic expansion, in continued partnership with Uber Eats – the delivery platform of Uber Technologies – represents a major milestone in Serve’s plan to deploy 2,000 AI-powered delivery robots across the US by the end of 2025.

Serve Robotics secures $86 million in new financing

Serve Robotics, an autonomous delivery company, has raised gross proceeds of $86 million during December 2024, bringing total gross proceeds raised in 2024 to $167 million.

Since its spinout from Uber in 2021, the Company has secured approximately $220 million in total funding. The additional December 2024 funding includes proceeds raised through Serve’s previously filed ATM facility and the exercise of warrants. As of December 31, 2024, Serve had a total of approximately 51.5 million shares of common stock issued and outstanding.

This infusion of capital significantly strengthens Serve’s financial position, extending its expected operational runway approximately through the end of 2026. Serve is now able to self-fund equipment investments, eliminating the near-term need for equipment financing and its associated servicing costs. Serve Robotics to deliver Shake Shack food with delivery robots using Uber platform

Serve Robotics, an autonomous sidewalk delivery company, and Shake Shack have agreed a partnership to deliver Shake Shack using Serve’s autonomous delivery robots via Uber Eats, the delivery platform of Uber Technologies.

Customers who order from select Shake Shack restaurants in Los Angeles through Uber Eats may receive their order via Serve’s innovative autonomous robots.

The partnership marks another step forward in the expansion of sidewalk robots on Uber Eats, which has been offering Serve’s autonomous deliveries in Los Angeles since 2022, and is poised to lead to future expansion across the US. Serve Robotics raises $30 million financing to scale robotic delivery

Serve Robotics, a developer of autonomous sidewalk delivery robots, has raised another $30 million in financing, bringing the company’s total funds raised to over $56 million.

Concurrent with the raise of new capital and conversion of existing convertible notes, Serve also completed a reverse merger with Patricia Acquisition, a public Delaware corporation, whereby Serve became a wholly owned subsidiary of Patricia.

Uber Eats and Cartken expand sidewalk robot deliveries to Virginia

Building on a successful pilot of autonomous deliveries in Miami, Florida, Uber Technologies and Cartken, an AI-powered robotics company, are expanding their partnership to include food deliveries via automated robots in Fairfax, Virginia.

Uber Eats consumers at Mosaic District will have the opportunity to have orders delivered by Cartken’s self-driving robot.

Starting today, Uber and Cartken will begin operating with select merchants at Mosaic District, a shopping and dining district owned and operated by EDENS. Noah Medical raises $150 million to scale robotics surgery solutions

Medical robotics innovator Noah Medical has raised $150 million in Series B funding.

With participation from a number of well-known institutional and strategic investors, Noah Medical says it will use the funds to meet rising demand for the Galaxy System, its next-generation, integrated solution for navigated robotic bronchoscopy.

Co-led by the Softbank Vision Fund and Prosperity7 Ventures, the oversubscribed round also included investments from Tiger Global, Hillhouse, Sequoia China, Shangbay Capital, Uphonest Capital, Sunmed Capital, Lyfe Capital, 1955 Capital, and AME cloud ventures, as well as undisclosed strategic and existing investors. Serve Robotics partners with Piestro to deliver robot-made pizzas

Piestro, a maker of a robotic pizzeria, is partnering with Serve Robotics, a maker of autonomous sidewalk delivery robots, to offer customers a totally robotic pizza delivery service.

When a customer places an order, Piestro’s scheduling system will notify Serve’s fleet and the nearest available robot will pick up the pizza for transport from a Piestro pod.

Nvidia invests $10 million in delivery robot startup Serve Robotics

Nvidia and Serve Robotics have established a strategic technology collaboration to further the development of autonomous robotic transportation, which includes a $10 million equity investment in the company.

Serve Robotics, which specializes in robotic delivery services and sidewalk delivery systems, says its strategic technology collaboration with Nvidia will further efforts in developing the future of autonomous robotic transportation.

Nike ‘transforming its supply chain’ with 1,000 collaborative robots

The world’s biggest sportswear brand, Nike, says it is “transforming its supply” to meet the needs of its customers globally.

The company says that, in the wake of the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic in the past two years, Nike has “risen to the challenges and is seizing the opportunity to accelerate a transformation in its operations”.

To that end, Nike has been accelerating the opening of several regional distribution centers across the United States and Europe, largely because “consumers across all segments immediately shifted to digital engagement” because of lockdowns and other problems in visiting brick-and-mortar shops.
