North American robot sales in the first nine months of 2022 reached record levels, with all indications pointing to 2022 ending with the highest number of robots sold in a year for the second year in a row.

According to the Association for Advancing Automation (A3), from January to September 2022, North American companies purchased 35,804 units valued at $1.875 billion, up 24 percent for units ordered and 27 percent for revenue over the same period in 2021.

Jeff Burnstein, president of A3, says: “Ongoing labor shortages, easier-to-use robotic solutions and new industries embracing robotics, such as restaurants, retail, construction and even agriculture, have led to record units sold here in North America this year. The 5 Kinds of Contracts Every AI or Robotics Company Should Have

December 22, 2022 by Mark Allinson

The AI/robotics world is still a relatively new one, and therefore the laws governing their usage are still in the process of being formed. Nonetheless, it is critical that contracts for AI/robotics be utilized in their sale/usage as these machines require the same type of protection that other services do.

Which contracts need to be signed, though? Well, there are five major types that every company in the industry should make note of so as not to fall victim to data leaks, sub-par services, or other unexpected problems. How 3D Rendering Services are Transforming and Progressing Industries

November 27, 2022 by Mark Allinson

A 3D rendering service can take your designs and turn them into 3D renders. This may not seem impressive when can probably render your own 3D models on your computer.

However, if your model has many intricate parts, if it is highly detailed, or even if it is a model with many layers and features, it can take quite a while for your computer to create the model.

This is especially true if there is lots of detail on the model and lots of calculations that need to be done. Added to which, your company may require several thousand renders take place per day. If this is the case, then hiring an outside company to do your 3D rendering is downright essential. [Read more…] about How 3D Rendering Services are Transforming and Progressing Industries

Use of Chinese Electric Cars In Japan

November 27, 2022 by Mark Allinson

Japan is known as a hub of automotive markets. The big giants in the automotive industry like Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Nissan are from Japan. In developing countries, there is a great demand for Japanese as well as Chinese cars because they are fuel efficient.

The main challenge that people face in developing countries is that they don’t find sphere parts of the car and if they find them, they are very expensive. To make cars available in another country, you must translate the user manual of the car into a language that the customer understands.

Professional translation services can be of great help to automotive companies that want to tap into new foreign markets. [Read more…] about Use of Chinese Electric Cars In Japan

300,000 tons in carbon emissions ‘could be saved by autonomous oil and gas operations’

November 14, 2022 by Mark Allinson

ABB has published another of its Energy Transition Equation reports that shows how industrial customers can reduce carbon emissions and manage the energy transition for a more sustainable future.

Based on nine months of research and modelling, the report highlights how early adoption and integration of automation, digitalization, and electrification technologies to enable autonomous operations can deliver savings of over 300,000 tons of carbon emissions per annum for offshore sites (approximately 25 percent reduction).

This is the equivalent of removing 150,000 combustion cars from the road and is the same volume of CO2 responsible for five million tons of glacier mass lost each year. [Read more…] about 300,000 tons in carbon emissions ‘could be saved by autonomous oil and gas operations’
