May Mobility launches autonomous shuttle service at Toyota site

May Mobility, an autonomous driving technology company, has launch a corporate autonomous vehicle service that will utilize the Toyota-manufactured e-Palette vehicle.

The mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) vehicle platform will be operated in Toyota’s Miyata factory, in Fukuoka, Japan. The full name of the site is the Toyota Motor Kyushu (TMK) Miyata factory.

Beep and Mississippi university launch autonomous bus test

Beep, a provider of autonomous shared mobility solutions, has launched C.A.B. or Campus Autonomous Bus, at Mississippi State University (MSU), marking Mississippi and Southeastern Conference’s (SEC) first-ever autonomous pilot program.

Celebrated on September 20 at a ribbon cutting ceremony on MSU’s campus, the pilot completed weeks of continued testing and validation and is now available to all students, faculty and guests of MSU for transit.

C.A.B. is currently scheduled to operate through the end of the year and will give MSU a chance to evaluate how autonomous transportation systems can be used on campus to diversify its existing fleet of transportation assets. Holon to establish autonomous shuttle manufacturing facility in Jacksonville, Florida

Holon, a manufacturer of autonomous, electric shuttles purpose-built to revolutionize shared mobility and sustainable transportation, says it is “poised to transform the future of transportation” with the launch of its first production plant for autonomous movers in Jacksonville, Florida.

This city unveiling was announced recently in collaboration with prominent Florida officials and key community stakeholders. Holon, a subsidiary of global automotive supplier Benteler Group, will be Florida’s first automotive vehicle manufacturer.

Contra Costa Transportation Authority and Beep to launch autonomous shuttle service

Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) has launched its second Presto autonomous shuttle service, which increases transportation access for seniors with Beep, a provider of autonomous shared mobility solutions.

With this launch, residents of the active senior Rossmoor 55+ community can now take advantage of the free pilot shuttle program aimed at providing easy, stress- and emission-free transportation.

May Mobility and SouthWest Transit launch first autonomous transportation service in Minnesota

May Mobility, a provider of autonomous driving technology, and SouthWest Transit, a transit agency serving SouthWest Twin Cities, are partnering to provide autonomous microtransit service in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

May Mobility’s autonomous vehicles (AVs) are scheduled to be integrated into SouthWest Transit’s transportation ecosystem in the fall of this year, providing the public with an additional on-demand option for reliable transportation.

Beep autonomous shuttle service launches at Honolulu International Airport

Beep, a provider of autonomous shared mobility solutions, has revealed a first-of-its-kind partnership with Sustainability Partners and the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) for the launch of an 18-month autonomous shuttle pilot at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu.

Auve Tech launches its autonomous shuttle in the US

Auve Tech, a developer of autonomous transportation systems, based in Tallinn, Estonia, has officially launched its flagship product, the MiCa shuttle, in the US market.

Auve Tech says the MiCa vehicle offers “turnkey autonomous transportation solutions tailored to diverse environments and simple integration into existing transport networks”.

In an innovative collaboration, Auve Tech has partnered with Guident to integrate its teleoperation solution into the MiCa autonomous shuttle, amplifying its safety features and augmenting Auve Tech’s advanced autonomous technology. Orlando and Beep launch autonomous shuttle pilot

The City of Orlando has started a six-month autonomous shuttle pilot program in partnership with Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) and Beep, an Orlando-based provider of autonomous shared mobility solutions.

The autonomous pilot, called SWAN Shuttle (Shuttling With Autonomous Navigation), will provide the city and LYNX data and learnings to guide the city’s transportation strategy on how shared, electric and autonomous vehicles can enhance accessibility, improve the quality of life for residents and ensure the city remains future-ready and sustainable.

Cumberland community group launches autonomous shuttle pilot program

The Cumberland Community Improvement District (CID) is partnering with Beep, a provider of multi-passenger and electric autonomous mobility solutions, to launch the Cumberland Hopper, an autonomous shuttle pilot program providing additional connectivity throughout the Cumberland district. 

This collaboration represents a significant step forward in transforming transportation options within Cumberland, offering enhanced connectivity, sustainability, and convenience to the business community, residents, and visitors.

Megvii 3D pallet shuttle robot awarded CE certificate

Megvii Automation & Robotics, the robotic arm of AI giant Megvii, has received a CE certificate from SGS, a top testing, inspection, and certification company, at the Logimat 2023 trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany.

Megvii Automation & Robotics says this certification is a “major milestone” for the company’s independent material-handling solutions in European markets, making it the first Chinese peer to receive official certification for meeting EU safety standards.

According to Mark Lohmann, SGS’s Global Certification Visa Officer, Megvii’s 3D pallet shuttle systems have passed a series of rigorous safety assessments and tests, including safety structure, electrical and mechanical safety of the entire machine, electromagnetic compatibility, functional safety, components, battery, and BMS safety.
