Surplus robots, robot welders, and support equipment to be auctioned by BTM Industrial

April 30, 2026 by David Edwards

The industrial auctioneer is helping its client free up needed floor space

BTM Industrial, a leading asset disposition company, is helping a large industrial robotics supplier liquidate its surplus inventory of than 150 FANUC, ABB, KUKA, and Yaskawa robots, controllers, and welding equipment, along with other miscellaneous production support items.

The company is holding a no-reserve online auction on May 5 and 6, 2026, to help its client free up needed floor space at its Warren, Ohio, facility.

“Facility space is always a premium for our clients,” said BTM Industrial President Jeff Orlowski, who coordinated the auction’s set-up using his extensive used-robotics industry knowledge. “We help them manage available floorspace by quickly liquidating surplus inventory and assets that are no longer needed.” [Read more…] about Surplus robots, robot welders, and support equipment to be auctioned by BTM Industrial

OnRobot heads to Reno with automation solutions for northern Nevada’s manufacturing workforce challenge

March 19, 2026 by Sam Francis

As Northern Nevada’s manufacturing sector continues its rapid expansion, the region’s employers are confronting a growing challenge: a labor market that has nearly run out of slack.

OnRobot will host the “Build your Automation Roadmap” event in Reno on April 9th, bringing practical automation solutions directly to the region’s manufacturing community.

The free, in-person event is designed for manufacturers in sectors such as metal fabrication, CNC machining, electronics, aerospace, food and beverage, and industrial equipment manufacturing – industries that form the backbone of the Reno manufacturing economy and are among the hardest hit by ongoing labor shortages. From industrial robot arms to humanoids: Nvidia tightens its grip on the future of robotics

March 19, 2026 by Sam Francis

Nvidia is rapidly emerging as the central technology provider to the global robotics industry, with a growing list of partners spanning traditional industrial robot manufacturers, surgical robotics firms, and a new wave of humanoid startups.

In a sweeping set of announcements at its GTC conference, the company revealed that many of the world’s best-known robotics companies – including ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa and Kuka – are now building on its platforms, alongside newer entrants such as Agility Robotics, Figure AI and 1X.

The breadth of that ecosystem suggests a shift that has been under way for several years: robotics is becoming an AI-driven industry, and Nvidia is positioning itself as the default supplier of the underlying compute, simulation and software infrastructure. Inbolt and Fanuc launch ‘breakthrough robots that can think and act on the fly at moving assembly line speeds’

May 7, 2025 by Mark Allinson

French startup Inbolt and the world’s largest industrial robotics company Fanuc are launching what they describe as a “manufacturing breakthrough” enabling Fanuc robots to tackle one of the most complex automation challenges.

The companies claim that the robots can “perform production tasks on continuously moving parts at assembly line speeds”.

With Inbolt’s AI-powered 3D vision, manufacturers can now automate screw insertion, bolt rundown, glue application and other high-precision tasks on parts moving down the line without costly infrastructure investments or cycle time compromises.
