EAVX unveils autonomous ‘walk-in van’ prototype

EAVX, a subsidiary of JB Poindexter & Co (JBPCO), and REE Automotive, a provider of electric vehicle platforms and automotive technologies, have unveiled the companies’ new fully electric “walk-in van” prototype will begin customer evaluation this summer.

The class 5 vehicle debuts the EAVX body design powered by REE’s modular P7 platform, making it the first fully drive-by-wire walk-in van on the market.

Radial expands relationship with Locus Robotics

Locus Robotics, a manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots for fulfillment warehouses, has expanded its partnership with Radial, a bpost group company, an e-commerce fulfillment specialist.

Under the agreement, Locus AMRs will be utilized at the fulfillment center in Romeoville, Illinois.

Continental to unveil new autonomous mobile robots for first time at LogiMAT

Automotive technology company Continental will present for the first time in public its autonomous mobile robots for the external market at the LogiMAT 2022, the international intralogistics trade show, from May 31 to June 2 in Stuttgart, Germany (hall 2, booth number EF15).

After an internal test phase in Continental production locations worldwide, the AMRs are now ready for the external market entry with improved and new features as well as the handling of new use cases.

Building on the company’s years of extensive research in the robotics field, Continental is including these solutions now into its product portfolio in the newly established area of Continental Mobile Robots. GreyOrange raises $110 million for ‘growth financing’

GreyOrange, a robotic fulfillment company, has raised $110 million in “comprehensive growth financing”, a majority of which came from Mithril Capital Management and a group of current and new investors, along with separate financing provided by funds and accounts under management by BlackRock.

The growth financing underscores GreyOrange’s technical leadership in a fundamental market shift to robot-enabled automated fulfillment solutions.

Seegrid launches online knowledge base for its autonomous mobile robots

Fulfyld selects inVia Robotics to automate warehouses

Danfoss and RISE Robotics collaborate on new innovation to ‘accelerate electrification of heavy machinery’

Danfoss Power Solutions and RISE Robotics have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly validate and test a key innovation that has the potential to transform the heavy machinery market through electrification.

John Deere forms joint venture with GUSS Automation

Farm machinery manufacturer John Deere has formed a joint venture with GUSS Automation, based in Kingsburg, California.

GUSS (Global Unmanned Spray System) is a pioneer in semi-autonomous orchard and vineyard sprayers.

Jack in the Box to pilot Miso’s robots in its burger joints

Miso Robotics has agreed a partnership with Jack in the Box to begin a piloted test that will install its Flippy 2 and Sippy core product lines in one of the national restaurant chain’s standalone locations, with possible plans for further integration in the months ahead.

Built on the Miso Platform, both products leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision and data analytics to maximize efficiency in the commercial kitchen.
