Collaborative robot arms take center stage in the Grammy Award-winning band’s latest visual creation

OK Go, the American rock band known for its wildly imaginative music videos, has once again pushed the boundaries of art and engineering – this time with the help of Universal Robots. (See video below.) 

In the music video for their latest single from the 2023 album Love, the band enlisted 30 robotic arms to create a visual symphony that merges choreography, automation, and musical performance.

Yarbo secures $27+ million Series B funding to accelerate global expansion

Yarbo, a provider of multipurpose intelligent yard robots, has successfully closed its Series B funding round, raising approximately $27 million.

The round was backed by a group of strategic and financial investors, bolstering Yarbo’s vision of reimagining how the world handles outdoor work – one season at a time.

Dexterity launches dual-armed ‘superhumanoid’ robot

Dexterity, a developer of robotics and physical AI, has launched what it describes as the world’s first “industrial superhumanoid” robot.

Named Mech, the new platform is designed to tackle strenuous and repetitive tasks in logistics and manufacturing environments – tasks traditionally handled by human workers.

Equipped with two powerful robotic arms mounted on a mobile base, Mech is built to autonomously navigate through warehouse aisles or industrial sites and perform physically demanding operations such as truck loading, palletizing, depalletizing, and order picking. HHLA Sky merges with Third Element Aviation

HHLA Sky, a mobile robotics company, is to merger with drone manufacturer Third Element Aviation. This union between long-standing partners establishes a dominant European provider specializing in the automation of drone and mobile robot fleets on an industrial scale.

Cartken reveals new mobile robot for material handling

Cartken, an autonomous robotics company, has launched its Hauler mobile robot, which is described as “a robust, highly maneuverable robot with increased payload capacity designed to automate mixed outdoor/indoor environment material handling for manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, corporate campuses, and life sciences environments”. 

Cartken highlights with this launch its growing focus on solutions beyond last-mile delivery, tackling a critical gap in industrial and onsite logistics automation: seamless material handling across complex, mixed environments, multiple levels, and diverse terrains.

Kawasaki unveils hydrogen-powered robotic horse that you can ride

Kawasaki Heavy Industries has unveiled Corleo, a hydrogen-powered, four-legged robotic vehicle designed for riders, at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025. This innovative concept integrates artificial intelligence and clean energy technologies to navigate diverse terrains. ​(See video below.)

Corleo’s four independent robotic legs enable balanced and stable movement across various surfaces. Each leg operates separately, allowing the robot to traverse rough and uneven terrain with ease. ​

Humanoid robot market to grow to $110 billion in next eight years

The global humanoid robot market reached a value of nearly $2.37 billion in 2023, having grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 40.69 percent since 2018.

The market is expected to grow from $2.37 billion in 2023 to $19.85 billion in 2028 at a rate of 52.91 percent. The market is then expected to grow at a CAGR of 41.81 percent from 2028 and reach $113.89 billion in 2033.

Growth in the historic period resulted from the increased demand for robots in the defense and security sector, rising labor costs or labor shortages, rising adoption of automated material handling in the retail sector. General Motors and Nvidia partner to develop ‘next-generation’ vehicle manufacturing

General Motors and Nvidia are collaborating on next-generation vehicles, factories and robots using AI, simulation and accelerated computing.

The companies will work together to build custom AI systems using Nvidia accelerated compute platforms, including Nvidia Omniverse with Nvidia Cosmos, to train AI manufacturing models for optimizing GM’s factory planning and robotics.

Delta integrates ‘advanced cognitive capabilities’ into its collaborative robots

Delta, a diverse electronics company which also makes collaborative robots, has unveiled its innovative Cognibot Kit at Hannover Messe 2025.

This cutting-edge add-on equips Delta’s D-Bot series collaborative robots (cobots) with advanced cognitive capabilities, such as voice command, 3D machine vision, multimodal Artificial Intelligence (AI) interaction, and more, significantly enhancing their performance, flexibility, and safety in industrial environments.
