Indian robotics company Ati Motors raises $20 million to expand its market

Ati Motors, a developer of AI and autonomous robotics, has closed $20 million Series B investment led by Walden Catalyst Ventures (WCV) and NGP Capital (NGP) with participation from current investors including True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners and Blume Ventures.

The funding comes on the heels of Ati Motors exceptional performance, marked by a tripled order book in Q4 2024 and the addition of nine industry leading clients.

MassRobotics opens applications for third annual ‘Form and Function Robotics Challenge’

Robotics accelerator MassRobotics has launched its third annual Form and Function Robotics Challenge.

This year’s competition is supported by Altium, AMD, Analog Devices, Autodesk, Copley Controls, Danfoss, FESTO, Harmonic Drive, Igus, Lattice Semiconductor, Maxon, Mitsubishi Electric, and Novanta.

Truck loading and unloading robot maker Slip Robotics raises $28 million financing

Slip Robotics, a startup providing automated truck-loading robots-as-a-service, has raised a $28 million Series B financing led by DCVC, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm specializing in deep tech.

The investment reflects Slip’s rapid growth with industry-leading customers – including John Deere, GE Appliances, Valeo, and Nissan – who are using SlipBots to load and unload any truck in just 5 minutes.

Slip Robotics is tackling one of the supply chain’s universal inefficiencies: truck loading and unloading. Space has become something of a commercial gold rush in the past 10 years or more, with new opportunities increasingly opening up for, and attracting, companies and individuals from many backgrounds.

Right now, as many of you will know, a student or maybe a group of students could build a “CubeSat” satellite for a few thousand dollars and find a rocket to take it up into space for a fee of around $40,000. So, for less than $50,000, they could legitimately call their enterprise a “space company”.

For the generation that grew up watching NASA and only NASA fly to space and back using the Space Shuttle and traditional rockets, this is difficult to believe. Covvi unveils ‘futuristic’ robotic hand that ‘pushes new technological boundaries’

Prosthetics development company Covvi has revealed a futuristic, robotic hand that the company says “pushes new technological boundaries”.

The launch looks to bring the “ground-breaking” Covvi Hand, which the company describes as “a state-of-the-art multi-articulated hand able to complete complex tasks”, to the robotics sector.

Since 2017, Covvi’s dedicated team of engineers and developers, have created an advanced prosthetic hand with the ability to form intricate grips mimicking those made by the human form. The Covvi Hand continues to be used by people with limb loss and limb differences around the world, and is currently supporting the rehabilitation of troops in Ukraine.
