Grubhub expands partnership with Avride to bring autonomous delivery robots to its marketplace

Grubhub is expanding its partnership with Avride to launch a robot delivery pilot for customers ordering from Wonder’s Jersey City location.

The initiative marks the first time Grubhub has offered autonomous delivery in its marketplace outside of college campuses – and the first time Wonder is bringing robot delivery to its customers.

During the pilot, customers can place orders from Wonder’s Jersey City location through the Grubhub platform as usual. If an eligible delivery address is within a set range of the restaurant, they will have the option to choose delivery via an Avride robot. AutoStore launches new product portfolio for warehouse automation

AutoStore – a provider of technology-driven, intelligent order fulfillment solutions and famous for its cubic automated storage and retrieval systems – has announced the launch of its Fall 2025 product portfolio.

Headlined by AutoCase, which automates the movement of full cases in and out of storage, the portfolio also introduces FlexBins, allowing multiple bin sizes in one Grid to expand SKU assortment, increase density, and support consolidation and buffering.

Retail giant Macy’s opens huge new automated fulfillment center in North Carolina

Macy’s – said to be the largest department store company by retail sales in the United States – has celebrated the opening of its new customer fulfillment and store replenishment center in China Grove, North Carolina.

Outfitted with the latest automation solutions, it is the company’s largest and most technologically advanced facility to date.

Macy’s says it is continuing to enhance its supply chain network, the new omnichannel facility represents a “meaningful milestone” in the third pillar of the company’s Bold New Chapter strategy to simplify and modernize end-to-end operations to benefit its customers. Airbus partners with Leonardo and Thales to create European space giant

Airbus, Leonardo, and Thales have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at combining their respective space activities into a new company.

By joining forces, Airbus, Leonardo and Thales aim to strengthen Europe’s strategic autonomy in space, a major sector that underpins critical infrastructure and services related to telecommunications, global navigation, earth observation, science, exploration and national security.

Thales Alenia Space inaugurates state-of-the-art ‘Space Smart Factory’ in Rome

Thales Alenia Space has inaugurated its new “Space Smart Factory” in Rome – one of Europe’s most advanced digital and reconfigurable satellite manufacturing facilities – in a ceremony attended by Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

A joint venture between Thales (67 percent) and Leonardo (33 percent), the company says the €100 million facility marks “a paradigm shift in the construction of space systems”, enabling the production of more than 100 satellites per year using modular cleanrooms, digital continuity, and robotic technologies.

Amazon unveils new robotic arms and agentic AI system for its fulfillment operations

Amazon has revealed two major innovations designed to enhance its fulfillment and operations network: a new robotics system called Blue Jay and an agentic artificial-intelligence model known as Project Eluna.

These technologies aim to reduce repetitive tasks, improve safety and support employee decision-making, while further accelerating delivery performance across Amazon’s network.

According to Amazon, Blue Jay is a ceiling-mounted automation system that synchronises multiple robotic arms in a single station to carry out picking, stowing, and consolidation processes that previously would have required separate robotic stations. Bonsai Robotics unveils new robot for agricultural jobs

Bonsai Robotics has introduced a new lineup of autonomous agricultural vehicles under its Amiga brand, marking the company’s first major product expansion since acquiring a company called “farm-ng” (sic) in July.

The company debuted the Amiga Flex, described as the first vehicle fully integrated with the company’s “Bonsai Intelligence” software stack. Two additional models – the Amiga Trax and Amiga Max – round out the new range, which aims to automate a variety of labor-intensive field operations.

Data center robotics market set to ‘double by 2032’, says report

A new market analysis from Credence Research predicts that the global “data center robotics” market will roughly double in size from an estimated $18.5 billion in 2024 to around $37.41 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual rate of about 9.2 percent.

What exactly is meant by “data center robotics”? According to the report, the term covers robotic systems deployed within large data centre facilities to assist with tasks such as hardware maintenance, transport of parts and components, inspection and monitoring of equipment, and other operational support functions.
