Boston Dynamics partners with Analog to bring ‘physical intelligence’ to the UAE

Technology company Analog and Boston Dynamics have announced an “exclusive regional alliance to deploy physical intelligence across the UAE”, beginning with Boston Dynamics’ Spot robots.

Initial use focuses on practical outcomes including park inspections, environmental and accessibility monitoring, and preventive maintenance that improves everyday livability and operational responsiveness.

Nvidia partners with Uber to ‘make the world ready for robotaxis’

Nvidia is partnering with Uber to “scale the world’s largest level 4-ready mobility network”, using the company’s next-generation robotaxi and autonomous delivery fleets, the new Nvidia DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 autonomous vehicle (AV) development platform and Nvidia DRIVE AV software purpose-built for L4 autonomy.

By enabling faster growth across the level 4 ecosystem, Nvidia can support Uber in scaling its global autonomous fleet to 100,000 vehicles over time, starting in 2027. Diligent Robotics, the company behind Moxi, the world’s largest deployed fleet of mobile manipulation robots working side by side with people, today unveiled plans for Moxi 2.0, its next-generation platform built with AI from the ground up.

The launch builds on three years of proprietary real-world data, collected from over 1.25 million deliveries in busy hospital environments and representing one of the largest datasets of real-world human-robot interaction.

Richtech Robotics unveils its first humanoid robot for ‘real-world work’

Richtech Robotics, a US-based provider of AI-driven robotics solutions, has unveiled Dex, the company’s first mobile humanoid robot for industrial use.

Accelerated by the Nvidia Jetson Thor, Dex is capable of operating in dynamic environments, adapt with real time reasoning, and perform complex tasks with detailed precision, all while operating for a full workday on a single charge.

Richtech is using Nvidia technology to accelerate Dex’s training across diverse industrial and commercial contexts.
By combining real-world data with Nvidia Isaac Sim, an open, reference robotics simulation framework, Dex is able to learn tasks virtually at an exponential rate, and implement behaviors into a live industrial environment. Intrinsic AI launches developer challenge and vision model as it seeks to energise intelligent-robotics ecosystem

Intrinsic AI, the robotics software and AI business unit of Alphabet, parent company of Google, has announced its first “AI for Industry” developer challenge and introduced its industrial-grade perception foundation model, the Intrinsic Vision Model (IVM). The developments aim to accelerate robot automation in real-world manufacturing environments. 

The challenge, focused on electronics assembly, will give participants access to “open source tools including Gazebo or other powerful simulation engines like … Nvidia’s Isaac Sim” and a production-workcell at Intrinsic’s facility.

Geekplus ushers in era of ‘fully unmanned warehouses’ with launch of new robot arm picking station

PepsiCo partners with Mecalux to build automated smart warehouse in Poland

PepsiCo Polska plans to open a new automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, with Mecalux technology.

Connected to the production area, the solution will accommodate potato crisps and other snacks. It was designed to increase PepsiCo’s logistics capacity and optimise workflows without expanding the existing building.
