Agile Robots closes acquisition of thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering

Agile Robots, a leading provider of AI-powered robotic solutions, has successfully acquired assets of thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering in Europe and North America.

Through the acquisition, the Munich-based company is strengthening its position in next-generation automation solutions and is tapping into new growth markets and close partnerships with leading OEMs. The acquisition had initially been announced in November 2025.

Amazon acquires Fauna Robotics as it expands into home humanoid robots

Amazon has acquired New York-based startup Fauna Robotics, signaling a move beyond its traditional focus on warehouse automation into consumer-facing humanoid robots.

The deal, first reported by Bloomberg and covered by Silicon Republic and Euronews, involves Fauna’s team of roughly 50 employees joining Amazon’s Personal Robotics Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fauna, founded in 2024, developed a humanoid robot called “Sprout”, designed to operate in shared human environments such as homes, schools and public spaces. Symbotic acquires autonomous forklift company Fox Robotics as revenue and profitability grow

Warehouse automation company Symbotic has acquired autonomous forklift developer Fox Robotics, expanding its reach into dock automation and broadening its potential customer base.

The acquisition was disclosed during Symbotic’s fiscal first-quarter 2026 earnings call. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fox Robotics specializes in autonomous forklift trucks used to move pallets between warehouses and loading docks. According to Symbotic, the company has about 25 customers, some of whom are not currently Symbotic clients. Tennant Company, a manufacturer of industrial floor cleaning robots, has acquired Clean Machine Falkenberg AB, and Repax AB, as Tennant seeks to accelerate growth in the Swedish region.

Clean Machine Falkenberg and Repax are respected distributors with a large customer base in southern Sweden, an experienced sales force, and an extensive service network.

Serve Robotics to acquire Diligent Robotics, expanding autonomy platform into hospitals

Serve Robotics has agreed to acquire healthcare robotics company Diligent Robotics, marking its first move beyond outdoor, sidewalk-based delivery and into indoor environments such as hospitals.

The deal brings Diligent’s autonomous hospital robot, Moxi, into Serve’s portfolio and expands the company’s autonomy platform into healthcare settings that require high reliability, safety, and close interaction with people.

Diligent Robotics was founded in 2017 by Andrea Thomaz and Vivian Chu and has raised more than $100 million from investors including Tiger Global, Canaan, and True Ventures.
