Material handling specialist Ceteas selects Kollmorgen AGVs

Ceteas has selected Kollmorgen as a technology and service partner for their AGV applications made in Abruzzo. The strategic partnership is aimed at growing end-user operations by simplifying and streamlining their processes.

With over 40 years of experience, Ceteas has become a trusted specialized material handling consultancy for the Italian industry. Their wide range of full-service solutions cover intralogistics in both manufacturing and warehousing.

SVT Robotics delivers warehouse automation integration for Tecsys

SVT Robotics, a provider of enterprise software for the rapid deployment of industrial robotics, has unveiled a new SoftBot Platform Connector for Tecsys, a supply chain management software company. 

SVT and Tecsys worked together to develop and launch the pre-built connector between the Tecsys WMS and SVT’s SoftBot Platform.

Uber Eats and Cartken expand sidewalk robot deliveries to Virginia

Building on a successful pilot of autonomous deliveries in Miami, Florida, Uber Technologies and Cartken, an AI-powered robotics company, are expanding their partnership to include food deliveries via automated robots in Fairfax, Virginia.

Uber Eats consumers at Mosaic District will have the opportunity to have orders delivered by Cartken’s self-driving robot.

Starting today, Uber and Cartken will begin operating with select merchants at Mosaic District, a shopping and dining district owned and operated by EDENS. Kiwibot and Sodexo bring food delivery robots to Shenandoah University

Kiwibot, a robotic sidewalk delivery company, is now available at Shenandoah University to ensure an affordable on-campus food delivery service for students.

With 15 robots operating at Shenandoah University, students profit from speedy food delivery with zero carbon emissions, reducing the carbon footprint on campus.

BlueBotics to showcase its robotics technology at LogiMAT after acquisition by Zapi

BlueBotics, a Zapi Group company specializing in vehicle automation, will stage a multi-brand automated vehicle demonstration in the Zapi Group/BlueBotics booth (#6B61 in hall 6).

This demo will include: two autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), two automated pallet trucks, and a larger forked automated guided vehicle (AGV) in simultaneous operation, all managed simultaneously by the company’s mission and fleet management software, ANT server.

Covariant raises $75 million in Series C funding

Covariant, an AI robotics company, has raised an additional $75 million in Series C funds, bringing its total funding to $222 million.

Returning investors Radical Ventures and Index Ventures co-led the round, which also saw additional funding from returning investors Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Amplify Partners.

Exotec manufactures milestone 5,000th robot in record time

Exotec, a warehouse robotics provider, has manufactured its 5,000th robot, just three months after the production of its 4,000th robot.

The company claims this is the “shortest time yet” between manufacturing milestones, signifying an increasing business momentum driven by the growing demand for warehouse automation.

Starship Technologies delivery robots clock 10 million km

Starship Technologies, a provider of autonomous delivery services, has reached what it says is “an industry first”, with the company’s robots having now passed the 10 million km mark (over 6 million miles) in terms of distance traveled around the world.

This comes as the company is marking five years of commercial delivery services.
