Richtech Robotics humanoid robot ‘Adam’ appears at Space Force event

Richtech Robotics, a Nevada-based provider of AI-driven service robots, says its humanoid robot, Adam, was featured at the Legacy of Launch 75th Anniversary event, which took place on July 24, 2025 in the Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Room, which is located at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

This invitation-only VIP event was a “rare and transformative moment that will seamlessly unite history, celebration, and vision”, says Richtech in a statement.

Google DeepMind launches new vision language action model to ‘put AI directly into local robotic devices’

Google DeepMind has introduced an efficient, on-device robotics model designed for general-purpose dexterity and rapid task adaptation.

This new offering, known as Gemini Robotics On-Device, is an optimized version of the Gemini Robotics VLA (vision language action) model, which was initially launched in March to integrate Gemini 2.0’s multimodal reasoning into physical applications.

Gemini Robotics On-Device is specifically engineered to operate locally on robotic devices, ensuring robust performance in environments with limited or no network connectivity and providing low-latency inference crucial for sensitive applications. Mitsubishi orders almost 100 autonomous delivery robots from Cartken

Cartken, an autonomous delivery robot company, and Melco Mobility Solutions are expanding their strategic partnership through a new multi-million dollar agreement focused on industrial logistics.

Melco Mobility Solutions is part of the Mitsubishi Electric and a key distributor of their automotive equipment products and operator of mobility solutions.

As part of this collaboration, Melco Mobility Solutions has placed an order for nearly 100 AI-powered Cartken Hauler robots to be deployed across industrial facilities in Japan within this fiscal year.

This latest initiative builds on a longstanding collaboration between the companies. Since 2022, Mitsubishi Electric and Melco Mobility Solutions have served as Cartken’s distributor and operator in Japan, advancing their strategic initiative to expand autonomous robotics as a solution to the country’s growing labor and logistics challenges. Realtime Robotics integrates Visual Components and Mitsubishi simulation into its workcell design software

Realtime Robotics, a specialist developer of automated collision-free motion planning, control, and optimization, has release two new direct integrations for Resolver, its cloud-based solution to accelerate the design and deployment of robotic workcells. 

Users of Visual Components or Mitsubishi Electric’s MelSoft Gemini 3D manufacturing simulation software can now utilize Resolver’s powerful industrial AI without having to leave their preferred environment.

DoorDash and Flytrex launch drone delivery in Dallas-Fort Worth

DoorDash and Flytrex have launched their drone delivery service in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, expanding upon a successful pilot program.

Customers in parts of Little Elm and Frisco can now order food from dozens of local and national restaurants, including from Papa Johns King Road location and The Brass Tap, between 8:00am and 9:30pm, with delivery via Flytrex’s autonomous drone fleet.

This marks Flytrex’s first third-party app integration, enabling customers to place orders directly through the DoorDash app. Eligible customers can select drone delivery at checkout, with orders prepared at restaurants and flown to their homes. The sophisticated software solution – which sifts through a myriad of requirements and data points – makes thousands of calculations per minute looking across relevant warehouse operations to determine the appropriate trade-offs needed to optimally pick, group, sequence and stack items on one or more pallets at a time.

Dürr expands training centre in Bietigheim-Bissingen

Machine and plant manufacturer Dürr has expanded its training centre by adding a sealing robot cell. Since May, customers have been receiving hands-on training in the latest sealing technology under real conditions at the company’s headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen.

Well-trained personnel are essential to ensuring high product quality and long-term system availability. That is why Dürr offers targeted training programs tailored to different user groups, delivered under production-oriented conditions in the field of paint and thick-film application.

In spring 2025, the company expanded its training centre in Bietigheim-Bissingen with a sealing robot cell equipped with EcoRail HS and two latest-generation robots: the EcoRS N20i and EcoRS L15i.
