Starship Technologies launches robot delivery service at Missouri university

Starship Technologies, the world’s leading provider of autonomous delivery services, rolled out its robot food delivery service today on the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) campus.

Starship’s fleet of 16 autonomous, on-demand robots will deliver from all campus eateries. The school’s students and faculty can now use the Starship app (iOS and Android) to order food and drinks from local retailers to be delivered anywhere on campus, within minutes. The service works in conjunction with the student meal plan.

Olivia Romisch, student, says: “I’m really excited for these robots! DB Schenker to open highly automated logistics center in the Czech Republic

DB Schenker, one of the world’s largest logistics service providers, will be opening a new site in the Prague region next year.

The “highly automated” fulfillment warehouse will expand the company’s logistics capacities and shortens delivery times.

Along with retail operations, the new distribution center will also manage B2C e-commerce activities, including an extensive value added services area addressing the demand for personalized products requested by consumers. Pony.ai and SAIC AI Lab to develop fully driverless EV robotaxi

Pony.ai, a leading global autonomous driving technology company, is collaborating with SAIC AI Lab, a division of SAIC Motor (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), China’s largest auto manufacturer, to jointly explore and advance driverless technology.

Together with SAIC AI Lab, Pony.ai launched a concept vehicle based on the SAIC Marvel R model and will build out a fleet of autonomous vehicles equipped with Pony.ai’s L4-level driverless solutions, over time.

The concept car is equipped with the latest generation of Pony.ai technology, which utilizes 17 integrated automotive-grade sensors to create a 360-degree visual range covering 200 meters, eliminating blind spots around the vehicle. aiMotive and Parkopedia partner to provide automakers with automated parking solutions

Autonomous technology specialist, aiMotive, and indoor mapping provider and connected vehicle services company, Parkopedia, are now able to offer automakers scalable, autonomous parking solutions which minimise everyday parking hassles for drivers, without relying on the presence of additional infrastructure within parking facilities, thanks to a recent partnership.

The “out-of-the-box”, cost-effective and scalable parking navigation solution is able to provide navigational support for drivers within both indoor and outdoor parking facilities by utilising aiMotive’s perception technology, combined with localisation information provided by Parkopedia’s highly accurate Indoor Mapping service, which is described as “a unique, cost-effective, scalable indoor mapping solution for automakers looking to future-proof their navigation and deliver the driver convenience services expected today”.

ShipHero implements inVia Robotics’ automation system to upgrade warehouse operations

inVia Robotics, a specialist provider of e-commerce fulfillment automation systems, has been selected by ShipHero, a shipping and logistics platform for more than 5,000 e-commerce brands and third-party logistic providers, to expand its fully autonomous mobile robot solution into two additional fulfillment centers.

After automating picking and replenishment activities in its Jacksonville, Florida location with inVia, ShipHero will now add the technology to its Allentown, Pennsylvania and Las Vegas, Nevada warehouses.

The two companies have already built a native integration between inVia’s warehouse execution system (WES) and ShipHero’s warehouse management system (WMS) software that will ensure rapid and seamless deployments in these additional facilities. Port of Rotterdam selects Airwayz as partner to develop prototype drone airspace

Port of Rotterdam Authority (PoR), in the Netherlands, has selected Airwayz as the partner to build the U-Space Airspace prototype for the port industrial complex.

The partnership is set for a period of two years in which the U-Space services will be set up and the Airwayz unmanned traffic management (UTM) system will be configured to the ports’ needs and requirements.

Neubility and Goggo Network partner to develop autonomous logistics solutions

Neubility, a Korean autonomous robot company, and Goggo Network, a European logistic operator of autonomous vehicles and robots, have signed an agreement to “strengthen autonomous logistics solutions based on robots”.

Two enterprises plan to strengthen collaboration in bringing innovation to robot-based logistics services and improving customer experience.

For that, they will soon debut their pilot delivery services based on Neubility’s autonomous mobile robot Neubie and Goggo Network’s autonomous mobile platform in its tests along different cities of Spain. Neubility partners with Samsung to launch delivery robots onto golf courses

Delivery robots continue to expand their market while helping golf clubs’ technological makeover.

Autonomous robot delivery platform startup Neubility has launched what it says is “the world’s first” self-driving robot service on a golf course.

As part of that first start, Neubility has concluded an agreement with Korean Food Service Company, Samsung Welstory to provide autonomous delivery robots and plans to commercialize such delivery services for golf courses starting October.
