EU-funded project prepares ‘megawatt charging solutions’ for EU-wide heavy-duty transport

A groundbreaking innovation initiative led by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is set to revolutionise battery electric truck charging.

The MACBETH project (Multipoint megAwatt Charging for Battery Electric Truck Hubs) features real-life demonstrations of charging hubs to accelerate the electrification of heavy-duty transport.

Autonomous electric truck company Einride to adopt hands-free charging solutions from Rocsys

Rocsys, a provider of hands-free charging solutions, has collaborated with freight technology company Einride, to demonstrate fully autonomous logistics.

The collaboration highlights Rocsys’ hands-free charging of Einride’s autonomous electric vehicle, showcasing the seamless integration of end-to-end automated operations.

The demonstration was part of the MODI project, co-financed by the European Union and took place at AstaZero, a fully owned subsidiary of RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, the world’s first full-scale independent test environment for automated transport systems. Rocsys hands-free charging platform to be installed at Rotterdam port

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II, one of the most advanced automated container terminals in the world, and Rocsys, a provider of hands-free charging solutions, have joined forces to deploy hands-free charging at Maasvlakte II in the Port of Rotterdam.

A critical component of the largest and most advanced container terminals will now be powered by Rocsys charging systems, enabling the seamless transportation of large volumes of goods distributed throughout the world.

ROCIN-ECO consortium takes ‘major step’ towards hands-free EV charging

Rocsys, a provider of hands-free charging solutions, together with partners Ionity, Audi, TÜV SÜD and affiliated partners Porsche, BMW, Ford, Marquardt, AVL, and Huber+Suhner, as part of the ROCIN-ECO consortium, has developed and demonstrated what they say is “the first interoperable automatic conductive charging solution for passenger electric vehicles”.

The solution both uses and contributes to international standards (ISO and IEC) for automatic charging.

Rocsys and EasyMile partner to launch autonomous charging system

Rocsys raises €33 million for its robotic electric vehicle charging system

Rocsys, a provider of autonomous charging solutions for electric transportation, has closed a €33 million Series A funding round.

Led by SEB Greentech Venture Capital, the round also includes participation from Graduate Entrepreneur, the European Investment Bank, and returning investor Forward.One.

With this latest investment, which includes a roughly equal split of debt and equity financing, Rocsys will expand the capabilities of its platform as it rapidly scales its presence in the United States and Europe.
