Oversonic Robotics launches humanoid robot RoBee in US market

Oversonic Robotics introduced its humanoid robot RoBee to the US market earlier this month, marking a step in the Italian company’s plans to expand internationally and deepen its presence in healthcare and advanced manufacturing.

The company said RoBee, its latest-generation cognitive humanoid robot, was designed for use in healthcare, care services, and industrial environments.

XELA Robotics adds high-precision tactile sensing to Tesollo robot hand

XELA Robotics, a specialist in advanced 3D tactile sensor technology, says it has “successfully integrated” its uSkin sensors into a Tesollo DG-5F five-fingered anthropomorphic robot hand – a popular model capable of human-level gripping and manipulation.

Commercial orders will be accepted beginning in the late first quarter of 2026.

In addition, XELA Robotics’ 2026 technology roadmap includes making its sensors smaller, faster and smarter. An example of this will be the reduction in size of its sensing points from about 4 mm x 4 mm to 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm allowing the addition of more sensing points than previously possible. EY launches physical AI platform and opens new EY.ai Lab with Nvidia support

EY has unveiled a new physical AI platform developed with Nvidia technologies, opened a dedicated EY.ai Lab in Georgia, and appointed its first EY global physical AI leader, marking a major expansion of the firm’s robotics and automation strategy.

The company says the new platform is designed to give enterprises a structured way to implement and manage “an AI system executed by robots, drones, smart-edge devices and more.”

Built using Nvidia Omniverse libraries, Nvidia Isaac and Nvidia AI Enterprise, the system supports digital twins, robotics simulation and advanced AI workloads across industrial, energy, consumer and health sectors. Schaeffler partners with Singapore’s NTU to position itself as a key component supplier to humanoid robot makers

Schaeffler has partnered with Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to open a new robotics and artificial intelligence laboratory, deepening its R&D presence in Asia and sharpening its focus on the fast-moving humanoid robotics market.

The new 900 sq m facility is part of the Schaeffler Hub for Advanced Research (SHARE) programme, the company’s global network of university-based R&D centres.

The partnership will support work in humanoid robotics, collaborative robotics, and automated mobile platforms, combining NTU’s research capability with Schaeffler’s industrial and motion-technology expertise. Carnegie Mellon engineer reimagines Interstellar’s TARS robot for Moon and Mars exploration

A young roboticist’s late-night experiment has evolved into one of the year’s most original “humanoid” (if it can be called that) concepts – a robot that looks more like a collapsing sculpture than a machine, yet somehow walks, rolls, and balances across multiple terrains.

Aditya Sripada, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute and a senior robotics engineer at Nimble.ai, has developed TARS3D, a small modular robot inspired by NASA’s fictional assistant from Interstellar.

The project, which he describes as “a desire to reconnect with the simple joy of building robots”, has now earned global recognition, being named a finalist for the Mike Stilman Award at the 24th IEEE RAS Humanoids Conference in Seoul – one of the most prestigious events in humanoid research.
